Follow Up

Hello again, everyone :) Nothing bad this time, I promise. The double upload is still happening as scheduled this Friday.

I actually just wanted to follow up on the story idea I presented in the last lil life update I did. It's a story I'm becoming very serious about, since it includes my late cat. The story does not yet have a title, but I've had ideas flowing to me about as easily as they did for this story, to be honest, which gives me a lot of hope in remembering and honoring my cat's memory in my own way.

To be quite honest, though?

I might try to legitimately publish this story. That's how I serious I am about it. I may or may not upload it here first, to see how everyone likes it, but on the off chance it becomes an officially published book, expect that I'd take a majority of chapters off of here.

The story takes place in the peaceful kingdom of Virelle, which, once invaded by demons from the Ashdeep, now lives in an ignorant era of false peace and prosperity. Centuries later, most of the kingdom has entirely forgotten about the prophecy, which foretells of a purple-eyed princess with a hidden power, destined to either save everyone - or die to demons trying. The prophecy becomes the castle's most closely guarded secret - until Princess Lilian (Lily) is born. At first, there's nothing out of the ordinary about Princess Lily's birth.

That is, until her brown eyes inevitably start to turn purple.

Locked up for her safety, Princess Lily at first enjoys being secluded in her beautiful castle - until the beautiful castle starts to feel like a beautiful cage. Blissfully unaware of the prophecy she was cursed with, Lily attempts to escape the castle to explore the nearby city multiple times, never succeeding. Shortly before her eighteenth birthday, she finally learns about the prophecy that threatens to come to pass once she comes of age - the demons, who would rise once more, a hidden power she'd had no idea was inside her all along, and... her fate, to save the world or die trying.

When the prophecy inevitably comes true, and the castle is invaded by demons, Lily is forced to conjure her newly awakened power to destroy the castle and escape into the woods, where she meets a mischievous silver cat who offers her guidance.

I'll leave it at that for now; anything more than that would be spoilers.

I DO have a few concept images I had an AI generator make for me, that I could potentially use for the story's cover.

...but of course they don't want to upload. Which was my whole reason of making this update, so I could share some of them with y'all, but they won't even attach to Wattpad for some dumb reason so... sucks though, had some really good ones. I'll find another way to share them and update here :)

Anyway, to update, I'm doing a bit better, but... it's still been hard to come to terms with. That cat was in our family for 12-13 years, so it hurts a lot. But I'm managing. I have lots of pictures of her, and I'm writing her into my story as a sassy, fourth-wall-breaking, magical silver cat :)

I MAY also consider giving her a human form since one of the images I made generated the cat as a human with cat ears, and I kinda liked the look. We'll see!
