Week 6

As the week went on, I finally figured out what was going on with Senpai. I think... I think Senpai has a murderous stalker, just like I did... except his seems a lot more dangerous.

I hoped his stalker wasn't after me, next, but as the week progressed and the school's atmosphere lowered, I progressively felt like there was someone in the shadows, watching me from a distance...

I guess Senpai's stalker is after me.

As well as that, the pink notes continued to increase in severity and threatening.

You'd look so pretty covered in red paint.

I'm sure whoever this was, meant blood, not paint.

How did you survive that?

After noticing a bucket about to fall on me one day, I stepped out of the way and noticed, with a chill, that it was filled to the brim with heavy weights.

Die already.

And then... Friday's note:

I've had enough of you.

What did that mean? Did that mean... my life was going to be directly threatened?

I showed each note to Osorō and Aru, who became progressively more worried for me. I was scared to go home that night.

Senpai, who was finally feeling well enough to sit at his favorite spot, approached me the second he saw me enter the plaza. "Athena-sama! Can I have you meet me after school? At umm... at the cherry blossom hill?"

A chill ran down my spine. Oh no. I HAD to tell him about his stalker before he could confess to me.

It didn't take rocket science to realize Taro Yamada had a crush on me — probably because I was the only girl who consistently hung around him, if I had to guess. With his stalker on my tail, it almost made me regret befriending him. Almost, though, but not really — because Taro was a good guy. He didn't deserve what was happening to him — and neither did I.

I have to tell him about his stalker.

"S-sure, Senpai, sounds good," I replied. "I actually have something to tell you, too, but I have to get to the drama club for rehearsal right now. I'll see you later?"

He nodded, smiling shyly. "Okay, sounds good."

I hurried away, not looking forward to his confession — or mine. I rushed to the hedge maze, where Aru and Osorō were waiting for me to show them the note I'd received that morning. Both boys turned pale.

"What does this person mean?" Osorō questioned. "Are they going to hurt you?"

"I hope not," I said, "but I think it's likely."

"Well, I won't let them," he said firmly, brandishing his crowbar. "Good thing I brought this with me today."

I sighed. "I hope it doesn't come to that..."

"I hope not, either," Aru interjected. "Athena has a late night rehearsal today with the drama club... do y'all want me to come with?"

"Nah, man," Osorō said. "If anything happens, I'll be there to take care of it."

Aru nodded. "Alright."

"Speaking of, I gotta get to a rehearsal right now, but I'll see you guys around, okay?"

"Okay." Both boys watched me go.

*~~*~~*~~*~~*

I stepped into the gymnasium, and immediately Kokona came up to me. "What did the note say this time?" she whispered. I took it out of my pocket and showed her, and her face visibly paled as she covered her mouth. "Oh, my god! Are they gonna hurt you?! You should go to the police!"

I shook my head. "I doubt they'd be able to help me until this person actually tries to hurt me."

"Ugh!" She hugged me in an instant. "I'm so sorry, Athena. I can't believe this is happening to my best friend!"

"I know," I said, sighing. "I'm scared, Kokona."

"I'm scared for you!"

"Everyone, time for rehearsal to begin!"

I sighed again. "We gotta rehearse for now. I think it's our song, too."

She sighed, too. "It is. Let's go."
