Week 7

When I finally woke up, I couldn't see a thing. The room was dark, and I laid on someone's lap. Moonlight barely streamed into the room from the window, and I blinked the drowsiness away as my eyes adjusted to the darkness, enough to make out Osorō's hair and face in front of me.

"Osorō?" I muttered, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.

He let out a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness you're awake." His tone became serious. "That freak tranquilized you, and then she locked us in here when I tried to get you out."

"You mean... Ayano?"

"Yep."

"Jesus," I muttered, struggling to stand up. Testing the door and trying to open it proved he was right — we were locked in the storage room. I sighed and slouched down next to him. "Great. I'm gonna get into so much trouble." Slipping my phone out of my pocket and trying to turn it on, I found my phone was dead. "And of course my phone is dead, too."

Osorō checked his phone, too, then groaned. "Mine's dead, too."

"So we're stuck," I said with a sigh. "We might as well get some sleep."

"No way," Osorō said. "What if she comes back?"

"She probably won't, with you here," I said, yawning as I laid down. "Are you gonna lay with me or what?"

"I—" he cut himself off as he yawned, then sighed and laid down next to me, wrapping a protective arm around my waist. "Fine. I'll try."

I sighed as I looked at him. "She tricked me, Osorō. She must've forged your handwriting at some point and left me a note. It looked exactly like your handwriting."

"Whatta bitch," Osorō grumbled, making me giggle.

"Yeah. She's... kinda scary though," I admitted.

"I know." He pulled me closer. "I won't let her hurt you. Not as long as I'm here."

"I know." I smiled and kissed him. "I know I'm safe as long as I'm with you."

"Of course. I won't let anything happen to you."

"Thank you."

Osorō left a lingering kiss on my lips. "Get some sleep, Athena."

"You too."

Held in his embrace, I closed my eyes and fell asleep again.

In the morning, I was harshly awoken by the sound of the storage room being unlocked. A teacher, not ours, glared down at us, and I shook Osorō awake as she started to say, "You two are in a lot of trouble. Get up, I'm taking you two to the headmaster's office."

I gulped. There's no way I'm getting out of this one alive, I thought, especially if they call Father...

I prayed they wouldn't as Osorō and I stood up, still groggy, and followed the teacher through the halls. Grabbing my hand as I struggled to fix my disheveled hair, Osorō tried to help me smoothen my hair with his other hand, despite the looks and hushed whispers we got as we walked through the hallways.
