Week 3 (Weekend)

Sunday.

At this point, I was in the studio every weekend for hours at a time, and every evening after club activity for at least an hour and a half. My first song I was working on was a pop song I planned on calling Latte.

My father and I took the family's silver limo to the studio. Today, knowing Osorō would be visiting with my brother, I dressed up a little more than usual — wearing a mint green V-neck off-the-shoulder shirt (I had my maid, Gina, cover my hickey), white jeans, and my favorite mint heels. I carried my favorite white butterfly purse, without the long strap, and slid on my rose gold sunglasses as I exited the limo after my father, who surprisingly held his hand out to help me — which I accepted.

We strolled into the building, and instantly, my father was yelling at the staff to prepare the building's best studio for his daughter — me. I flipped some hair off my shoulder.

Sometimes, it ruled to be Haru Akiyama's daughter, Athena Akiyama.

I was quickly ushered into a recording booth. After having finally finished all the lyrics, I was ready to start recording my song.

"Alright, Athena, let's just run it once without stopping and see what happens, yeah?" I was given the thumbs up as my track started to play, and I closed my eyes and got ready to sing.

I timed the track before opening my mouth and singing the opening chorus, my voice ringing throughout the recording booth, smoothly with passion as I sang. I opened my eyes momentarily to look at the lyrics as I transitioned from the chorus to the first verse, and then the bridge.

I sang the chorus again, glancing up for a moment just in time to notice the door opening as Aru walked in with Osorō, who wore blue jeans and a white T-shirt underneath a navy blue hoodie. He grinned when he saw me singing and shot me a wink, and a small blush spread across my cheeks. I closed my eyes again so I could focus on the second verse.

I finished the song without a hitch, making everyone in the booth applaud when they stopped recording. I blushed at the applause, making eye contact with Osorō again as he simply stared at me, no wink, no smile, just... entranced. "Athena, darling, that was wonderful!" The director praised, then continued, "Now, let's layer it, add some harmony, annnddd I don't know, just have fun with it!"

"You got it, I will," I said into the mic.

We kept going for a lil while, with my father, Aru, and Osorō leaving at various points when they needed to. Eventually, we took a break, and I talked to the director for a bit, watching until my father left the room, then approached Aru and Osorō while he was still out of the room.

"Hey, guys!" I said, smiling widely at them.

"Sis, you're killing it on those vocals!" Aru complimented.

"Yeah, you really are," Osorō agreed. "You're definitely gonna be the next big thing."

I giggled. "Aww, you two flatter me. I'm thinking of sticking with my name, Athena, but having it in all caps and losing my last name as my stage name, like, ATHENA. Thoughts?"

Osorō grinned. "I love it."

"Me, too." Aru nodded along.

Osorō stared at me for a moment before asking, "Hey, can we step outside and chat for a sec?"

I blinked. "Yeah, sure."

"Oh, wait, guys," Aru said, bolting in front of us, "Let me just check that my dad isn't in the hallway..."

"Oh, if you guys need a private place to talk, the next room over is a private kitchen," the director called over. He held up a key to show us. "Here's a key."

I walked over and took it from him with a dazzling smile. "Thank you!"

"No problem!"

Aru checked the hallway, deemed it safe, and Osorō and I walked out into the hallway to the private kitchen. I unlocked it, and we entered the room. The door went click behind us, and I realized that Osorō had locked the door again.

For a moment, a charged silence filled the room as we stared at each other, and in my head, I could imagine what I wished I could do...

He'd charge at me, lifting me up on the table behind me and crashing his lips onto mine, biting my lower lip and leaving hickeys all over my neck...

But we couldn't. Not to mention the trouble I'd get into if that actually did happen...

Osorō eventually cleared his throat. "I uh, I knew you could sing, but I didn't know you could sing like that... you're an amazing singer."

I smiled gently. "Thank you..."

"Of course." His voice came out as a hushed whisper. He hesitated, then approached me, and in an instant, his arms were softly wrapped around me. I didn't hesitate to return his embrace, heat rising to my face. I felt secure and safe in that instant, held in his embrace as everything else around me slipped away into nothingness.

And then his lips lightly kissed my neck.

I sprang back, slapping a hand to my neck with a blush. I stared at him with wide eyes, then averted my gaze, my blush growing hotter as I said, "Just... don't leave any marks this time..."

His eyebrows shot up in amusement. "Oh, really?"

I leaned back against the table behind me as he slowly approached me again, his lips attaching to my neck and softly nibbling, as his arms lifted on my thighs, lifting me up and setting me down on the table, as his body positioned in between my legs. His hands still loomed dangerously on my thighs, gripping them as my hands fell down on his shoulders, and I tilted my head ever so slightly, giving him more space to kiss.

He pulled back instead, staring at me, and then started leaning closer to me. It was then I realized he was trying to kiss me, and, like an irresistible magnet, I started to lean in, too...

A jarring knock on the door broke the moment entirely. Osorō and I stopped in our tracks as Aru's voice called, "Guys, the director is ready for more vocals! And they're also kicking me and Osorō out now, so there's no more distractions."

Osorō let out a soft groan and pulled away, helping me off the table. He grabbed my head and pulled me closer to whisper in my ear, "Don't think this is over, doll."

I was blushing all over again. "R-right."

We left the kitchen, and Aru gave us a knowing smirk, until Osorō glared at him, that is. I waved goodbye to them as I headed back to the studio.
