Week 4

When I arrived at the center of the maze, Osorō immediately realized something was wrong with me and asked, "Hey, what're ya stressed about?"

I sighed and decided to just tell him. "There's no easy way to say this... but the guidance counselor just told me to try to convince the delinquents to, well, stop being delinquents."

He scowled instantly. "Why?"

"Because the headmaster wants to expel all of you if you don't."

He swallowed. "Ah. I see." He frowned. "Did she say anything else?"

I sighed. "Not really. I don't know how to tell y'all to stop being delinquents, but she did mention the main issues are the threatening and violent tendencies, so maybe if you guys tone it down enough, you won't have to be expelled?"

Osorō sighed. "I'll see what I can do. Thank you for being honest with me."

"Of course. Why should I lie?"

He narrowed his eyes at me. "You have before, doll, and don't try to deny it."

I opened my mouth to do just that — when he came in close and leaned into my face. In an instant, I shut my mouth and carefully stepped back, my face erupting into a dark blush. Except for that, I thought, but outwardly, I said, "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Sure ya don't." He smirked at me. "Keep playin' pretend, doll. See just how far it gets you into trouble." He grabbed my wrist, pulled me in close, and left a lingering kiss on my cheek, dangerously close to my lips. Then, just as quickly as he'd grabbed me, he let me go, moving past me to leave. When he realized I wasn't following, he turned and called, "Ya comin' or what?"

"Y-yes!" I stuttered, hurrying after him, my face feeling as hot as an oven.

The rest of the week, I noticed Oka Ruto sitting by the fountain with Taro-senpai, but not only that, I also noticed Aru frequently running to the east fountain to meet someone.

Is Aru... trying to win over Oka? I wondered. I still didn't know how they met, and I hoped Aru would tell me if he successfully won her over. He better fucking tell me, I've waited long enough to see my brother get a girlfriend.

Also... the pink notes of threatening, ominous writing continued.

On Tuesday, it read: Whenever I see you, I smile... until I realize you're still alive. On Wednesday, it said: You're such a thorn in my ass. On Thursday, the pink note of death simply read, in bold letters: Drop dead. And on Friday, the note said: I hate you, and your face.

I wondered if I could show these notes to the guidance counselor or not. I wondered if she could even do anything about them at all — they weren't signed or anything... So far, at least, I kept them to myself, terrified of what might happen if I told anyone about the notes.

Speaking of, now that Osorō was aware of my deal with the guidance counselor, the delinquents started by dressing in the right uniforms. It was strange seeing Osorō and the rest of them wear the actual Akademi Academy uniforms — but I kinda liked it, if I was being honest. Osorō looked soooo cute in our school's actual uniform, and I decided to leave a little note in his shoe locker to tell him so.
