Rae couldn't remember how she met Loki. She never really cared how she met him really, she only cared how much she loved him, and the fact that that love was returned always made her feel like the luckiest woman alive. Rayna Mikaeldottir wasn't even a woman really. She was half human and half Asgardian and she had the ability to control the air, making her like no other. Rae grew up mostly in Midgard, with her mother dying in a freak car crash when she was merely a child of five years old. She later learned her father was one of Odin's royal guards who had been slayed in battle, and she met Loki when she was merely a teenager. She remembered him asking her to marry him without even having a ring. It was what made her love him twice as much, as he was an act first, think later sort of guy, and the proposal proved it.

So yes, Rae Mikaeldottir also happened to be Rae Laufeyson, the beloved wife of Loki.

They were at Stark Tower, since Loki was currently attempting to remain on the good side for the sake of his brother and for his wife. Tony and most of the other Avengers never understood their relationship, as they were almost complete opposites. For those that knew who Loki was, knew how controlling and aggressive he could get, but Rae had a way of surprising people. She never let anyone see what she was thinking unless she wanted them to, she had a level head and always had a way of calming Loki down when he got in a mood. Steve called them the perfect match for the other because they were opposites, but Tony just happened to question it whenever he possibly could.

In the meantime, Loki found his green gaze being pulled towards his gorgeous wife, and a smile crept it's way onto his face. She sat on the couch with Thor, as she unsuccessfully attempted to explain the plotline to the movie on the screen but the moment she answered one question, he would ask another, eager to understand the storyline. Loki raised his hand, hiding his smile as he remembered their years of marriage. They were coming up to their hundredth year and while they never really celebrated their anniversaries much, as they were human traditions, Loki now wanted to. When in a good mood or an affectionate one, Rae and Loki would present gifts to one another, but Loki didn't want to do that this time.

"What are you smiling about?" Tony waved his hand in front of his brother, who snapped out of the trance.

"None of your business."

"Brother!" Thor called Loki, who turned to see his older adoptive sibling pointing at the TV excitedly. "You should watch this! This man just escaped prison by using another man's face as a mask!"

Rae chuckled, her brown curls falling over one shoulder. "You just gave away the ending, Thor."

"It's interesting. Why would man cause another so much pain for no solid reason?"

Loki stood up from his seat, catching Rae's attention as she looked towards him. "Are you alright, my love?"

Her husband nodded, a smile on his face. "I am. However, I have some business to attend to. I shall see you later, Rayne, my darling."

He leans forward, kissing her forehead tenderly before leaving the room, giving her another loving smile before they parted ways. Tony was glancing between them with a puzzled expression, but Thor was still completely engrossed in the movie, rewinding it so he could watch his favorite part over and over again. Rae pushed her thoughts away before walking back towards her best friend, a smile growing on her face at the mere appearance of his childish attitude.

Later, Loki recruited the Avengers into the same room, making sure Wanda had sent Rayna to buy her something from the store, as she would have been suspicious if Loki sent her himself.

"What's going on, brother?" Thor questions as Loki stands in front of them.

"Oh no." Tony's brown eyes widened, panic building. "Rae's not pregnant, is she?"
