It happened quickly. One moment the two knights were on patrol, joking around as they attempted to entertain themselves, the next, they heard a cry of rage followed by the clash of swords. Leon and Percival shared a worried glance before they took off, their horses rushing through the trees as they recognised the cry. It was Sir Karran, one of the knights that Arthur had knighted only this last few months. He and his men had been on patrol further than they had been, closer to the border, and Leon was very aware that this meant the possibility of being attacked by bandits were more than likely.

However, when the two arrived at the scene of the crime, they didn't see what they expected. Both froze to see two knights barely standing while fighting for their lives, while two other knights, one being Karran, already having fallen. Leon and Percival had expected to find bandits, several of them, surrounding the well-trained men, only to find a single lone woman with a sword in each hand, fighting with a skill that the men lacked. In the ten seconds that the two men had stood there, shocked and frozen, she had killed Sir Anderson by slashing his throat. It caused them both to snap out of their dazes and they rushed forward to help their surviving companion.

Leon distracted the woman as Percival threw Sir Ronald the sword the girl had managed to knock from his hands. The three men started clashing their swords against hers, but she managed to block them, ducking under their swipes and Leon found himself more than impressed with the young woman. She was clearly struggling with the three of them, yet still managed to hold herself in a way that most men couldn't. Eventually, however, Percival managed to cut her arm enough that she released one of her swords, giving Leon the advantage as she threw himself forward, the end of his blade at her throat.

"Drop the sword and get on your knees, before I kill you." He warned, and growled animalistically, doing as she was demanded. He followed by gripping her arms and forcing them behind her back. He tied her up, turning to Sir Ronald afterwards.

The knight explained that they had found the girl alone without a horse and barely any supplies. They had offered her help, but she had refused and attacked. The girl didn't deny this, yet as Percival stared down at her, he couldn't help but argue with Sir Ronald silently. She didn't appear to be mentally challenged and he noted that the bottom end of her tunic was torn, as if someone had tried to rip the clothing off her.

Leon agreed to take her back to Camelot so King Arthur could give judgement, yet as they rode forward, with Percival and Sir Ronald on the horses and Leon walking with the girl beside him, she answered no questions. She remained as cold as ice and even when Leon noticed the bruises on her wrists, neck and face, she made no complaint. She was a beautiful woman, none could claim otherwise, with dark brown hair that fell freely down her back and matching dark eyes. Her skin was toned, like that of a traveller's, and rather than a dress, she wore a navy blue tunic and leggings. Around her neck was a simple necklace, not like the one Gwen wore that Arthur had presented her with, but one that a servant or peasant could pay for. It was the shape of a coin, only the engraving of a heart in the centre. It looked cheap, let considering she had nothing else other than that and the clothes on her back, Leon guessed it was important to her.

"Sire," Percival waited with her outside the Great Hall as Leon and Ronald presented the case to Arthur. "We found a girl in the woods."

"What kind of girl?" Arthur frowned, not understanding why an emergency meeting had to be called on for the mention of a found girl. The court had been called; Gaius and Merlin were standing within the crowd, with Queen Gwen on her throne and more members of the crowd around the room.

Ronald answered with a sneer. "A demon, I say. No girl could fight like that."

"I wouldn't call her a demon." Leon corrected. "She is just a normal girl-"
