"Tash! Tash!" Dean's tiny fist banged against the Kyle front door, his young face beaming with a wide smile as his overgrown light brown hair fell over his forehead, his green eyes alight with glee. "Natasha!"

"Dean, calm down!" Jackson Kyle opened the door with a laugh and four year old Dean stumbled a step backwards, but still grinned widely, excited at being able to see his best friend. "Are you coming..." Dean sped past him into the house. "...in?"

Dean ran straight into the kitchen, finding his best friend sitting at the table, eating a freshly made pie her mother had made. The moment she saw the Winchester, young Natasha Kyle swallowed a large mouthful of the apple pie and jumped from her chair, throwing herself into the little boy's waiting arms. The firstborn of John and Mary fell against the floor, but now his eyes was remaining over her shoulder, eyeing the pie hungrily, his embrace with his friend somewhat forgotten. Katherine Kyle was a talented cook and he loved her pie; something he and his best friend had in common.

"Is it a girl or a boy?" She fell back, her reddish bronze colored hair falling over her shoulders.

Dean held his head out proudly. "I have a baby brother."

The night before last, he had been dropped off at their house because Mary had gone into labor after having told her little boy that he was going to have a sibling, and Dean had kept her awake all night because he was excited about being a big brother. However, she was still sleeping when John came to pick Dean up and she hadn't seen him since then.

Tasha yelped as her father lifted her onto her feet, but as she turned to help Dean up, she found him in her seat, eating the remaining leftovers of her pie. "Hey!" She protested in a whine.

He lifted his head, a large mouthful of pie visible. "What?"

After a few minutes, the Winchester boy dragged Tasha next door, to meet his new baby brother; he would do anything for the new member of the family. Dean's father, John, was working, but his mother was in the living room, wearing a beautiful dress and rocking her newborn son back and forth. Tasha stopped in her tracks when she saw the newest addition to the Winchester family and wondered what it would be like if she had a sibling herself. Dean gripped her hand and pulled her towards his mommy.

"Mama, can Tash see the baby?" He asked her sweetly.

Mary chuckled and lowered her arms so Tasha could see the newborn's innocent face. "He's beautiful, isn't he?"

"What's his name?" She asked curiously as the blonde woman leaned back, continuing to rock the sleeping child.

"Sammy," Dean answered before Mary could. "His name is Sammy." He beamed proudly. "He's my baby brother."

"Sam." Mary corrected, knowing that if she didn't, Tasha would call the newborn by the nickname Dean had labelled for his brother. "If you sit on the couch, you can hold him if you like."

Dean watched with a giddy smile as Tasha ran to the couch, jumping onto it with excitement. He hastily climbed on beside her, the two making sure there was enough room for baby Sammy between them. Mary lowered the infant into their arms, making sure Dean had his head while Tasha held his lower half. She awed as Sam began to wake, making gurgling sounds.

"He's so tiny." She breathed.

Dean ran his finger across baby Sammy's cheek. "I'm a big brother." He whispered. "I will beat up anyone that pushes you down."

Tasha glanced at her best friend before leaning forward and kissing his cheek fondly, grinning. He turned to look at her with shocked eyes and red cheeks but Tasha only smiled, staring down at young Sam, unashamed. Dean hesitated before copying her action, pressing a wet kiss to her cheek, causing her to giggle. Mary watched the two with untold joy. When she and her husband moved into the house beside the Kyle couple, they had no idea their first born would become inseparable. They were each other's shadows. They lived next door, so Dean and Tasha were able to go from house to house when they wanted.
