“Okay! Okay!” The host looked troubled because of Kairo’s revelations. “I won’t ask further questions about that one.” He chuckled nervously.
Kairo laughed. “That’s good po because I won’t answer further questions about her po.”
The host looked more nervous than Kairo, who even looked like he was having fun confessing something.
Hanggang ngayon ay ramdam ko pa din ang kabog ng aking dibdib kaya hinawakan ko iyon at pilit na pinakalma.
“So anyways…” The host drew a deep breath before he changed the topic. “Why did you name your album ‘Sirius’?”
“Oh well… As we all know, Sirius is the brightest star in the sky during nighttime.” Kairo began with a smile. “Some thought that I named it after the title that was given to me by Premier Network, however it’s not like that.”
I could say based on the smile on his face that he really spent days constructing the title of his album so everyone would be curious about what’s inside.
“Maybe it happened to be connected with that, but it’s really not.” He continued. “I named my album that way so people who have a copy of it would be reminded that they can be like Sirius too.” He offered a genuine smile to the camera. “You could be a Sirius.”
“I want them to see the beauty in darkness. I want the songs completing the Sirius album to remind them that stars don’t shine if it is not dark—that there’s nothing to be afraid of in darkness.” he added.
“Most people would often label darkness as scary, pain, sadness, all those negative feelings a person could ever feel." Kairo continued. “However, through my album, I want that stereotyping to lessen. And so, by releasing Sirius, my 4th musical album, I want the people who believe in my talent to also believe that darkness isn’t always negative and that we couldn’t shine as bright as Sirius if there’s no darkness. Thus, we should start embracing and seeing how beautiful darkness is and trust that we could also align with our own constellation.”
That earned a round of applause from the audience.
“That deep?” The host was obviously amazed. “But can I ask one last question about your bonus track?”
Kairo nodded. “Sure…”
“Since we are talking about titles, could you please let us know why you named your first-ever Tagalog song ‘Liwanag ng Tala’?”
That made me eagerly interested na kung pwede lang ay idikit ko nalang ang aking tenga sa tv kung saan napapanood ang interview.
“Oh that…” Kairo chuckled. “This seems to be corny but whatever.”
The audience laughed at him because it was evident how his face turned red.
“Ohh my? You’re blushing hard.” Natatawang puna ng host na naging dahilan upang sumabog ang halakhakan sa loob ng studio.
“No, it was just hot.” Kairo denied.
“I don’t think so, Kairo… We have sufficient air conditioning here.”
The host looked like he was enjoying teasing the blushing Kairo in front of the camera.
Pabirong umirap si Kairo. “Whatever, Julius.” Aniya pa na nagpahalakhak sa host. “So, I named it ‘Liwanag ng Tala’ since most people knew me as the Biggest and Brightest Star of the Premier Network.” he said, but he looked shy as he said that. “For 15 years in the industry, I spent my life here working day by day to achieve the light I have now. I thought that my light would always shine as bright as the stars during nighttime, but I didn’t realize that just like real stars above, I could lose my twinkle too once the sun started to wander. It made me accept that I couldn't always shine as bright as how stars are during the night.”
