What a night!
WHAT A GODDAMN NIGHT!
I rubbed my eyes, the events of the night before still fresh in my mind. The kids, the evidence, the spiders. It all felt like a fever dream, but the ache in my muscles was a stark reminder that it was all too real. Besides I did check about that injury and it was just some phantom pain in my mind. Of course my quirk healed me by the time I probably ran out of that room or even sooner but my mind couldn't keep up with that.
Anyways, I groaned as I sat up, my body protesting with every movement.
This feels worse than training with Stain....
Should I try stay at home and call in sick?
Maybe try to figure out if dad knows something about that layer?
Or heard something about the detective.
I did leave an obvious note there...
Ohhh... ahm... I should go and see my real dad too.
He probably is worried when he send Kurogiri to fetch me to get home.....
But how?
I had to get ready for school, and I had to make sure no one, especially All Might or my mom, found out about my nighttime activities. So I couldn't just stick laying around in my bed. I had to get up and deal with it for now.
I slipped out of bed and quickly get everything ready and make sure that my costume and everything is hidden quite well too. My room looked normal enough, no signs of the vigilante activities I had engaged in just hours before. With a sigh of relief, I headed to the breakfast table, the smell of breakfast guiding me to the kitchen.
It smelled heavenly!
Mom was already up, her usual cheerful self as she cooked. I loved these moments for sure. It was something that wan't that usual if I think back about probably 5 or 6 months ago. However she seemed to enjoy life now and that was important. I helped her out and she was still here for me. Whelp, I did and always will do whatever I can for her. She was my real mother after all.
Mom: Morning, Izuku! Sleep well?
Me: Yeah, Mom. Just a bit tired.
She gave me a knowing look, but didn't press further. Probably thought I was out training since she did know that I was doing that or she thought I got stuck with my nose inside a book and forgot about time. Not really something I wouldn't do......Anyways, I was grateful for that. After a quick breakfast, I grabbed my bag and headed out the door, with no expectations at all.
As I walked to UA, I noticed a familiar figure waiting at the corner. Shoto stood there, looking as calm and composed as ever. But there was something different ... I couldn't put my mind around it and decided to just ignore it for now. He looked fine, no injuries, no emotional pain and definitely not sad.
Shoto: Morning, Izu.
Me: Morning, Sho. What are you doing here?
Shoto: I thought I'd walk with you today.
Me: Oh, sure. That sounds good.
We walked in companionable silence for a while, none of us said anything for a good 5 minutes. This was certainly killing me but I was also quite tired so my brain was mush. Still I could feel the tension radiating off Shoto, as if he was building up to something. He certainly wasn't the best with words but he was sweet and attentive. Even the smallest things can be picked up by this guy.Where else would his theories come from?
