Just as Shigaraki was winding up for another round of interrogation—his frustration practically radiating off him—something unexpected happened. Kurogiri, in all his misty, calm glory, decided to make a grand entrance.
NOT AGAIN....
What now?
Kurogiri: Enough.
Wow...
Sounds as if someone just came in with the authority of someone who's dealt with far too many temper tantrums...
All eyes turned to him. Even Shigaraki, who was moments away from grilling me like a kebab, paused. When Kurogiri speaks like that, you listen. Or, at least, you pretend to listen and think about how you're going to get your way later.
Kurogiri: Your father wants to talk to you.
Me: Now?
Kurogiri nodded, the kind of nod that said, "This is happening whether you like it or not." Shigaraki's frustration melted into a more resigned look, Stain's intense stare softened (only slightly, though), and Serpant... well, he just looked like he was calculating how much popcorn he'd need for the drama about to unfold.
Me: Oh great. Here we go.
Without another word, Kurogiri opened a portal, swirling with mist and the faint scent of something... ominous. I turned to the others, who gave me a mix of nods, shrugs, and "good luck, you're going to need it" expressions. I took a deep breath and stepped through.
In a blink, I was in a completely different room. Gone was the cold, damp warehouse, replaced by a dimly lit, almost cozy study. Cozy in a "this is where villains plot world domination" kind of way. The air was thick, the kind of atmosphere that made you stand a little straighter, act a little less like the nervous kid you actually were.
And there he was. My father, All for One, sitting in his throne-like chair. It's hard not to feel small in front of him, but hey, I'd handled today's mess on my own, so I wasn't completely useless.
All for One: Izuku....
Me: Dad?
He gestured to the chair across from him, and I sat down, trying to hide how tense I was. Not because I was scared—okay, maybe a little—but because I knew what was coming. The Concerned Father Talk™.
All for One: You've had quite the day, haven't you?
Me: You have no idea.
But I wasn't about to blurt out all the chaos. Instead, I nodded, trying to keep a cool facade, which, let's be honest, was probably crumbling under his all-knowing gaze.
All for One: lAre you happy, Izuku?
Happy?
Wow, wasn't expecting that one.
My brain went into overdrive.
How do I answer that?
"Happy" isn't exactly the first word that comes to mind when you've had flying pigs, a wild confession, and nearly got dissected by a crazy doctor all in one day, in the last 24 hours. But still, there was something in his voice... something that made me feel like he genuinely cared.
Me: Yeah, Dad, I'm happy. I've got everything under control.
Okay, maybe a tiny white lie.
But I did handle things today, didn't I?
Sure, it was messy, and I might've come close to a nervous breakdown a few times, but I survived!
That counts for something, right?
All for One: I'm glad to hear that, Izuku. Just remember, you don't have to handle everything alone.
There it was. That subtle reminder that he was always there, watching over me, ready to step in if I needed him. And honestly? That was comforting. But I couldn't let him worry too much. I had to show him that I could manage, that I was capable of handling whatever came my way, even if it meant dealing with flying pigs and mad scientists.
Me: Don't worry, Dad. I've got this.
All for One: I never doubted you for a moment.
The tension in the room eased a bit, and for the first time since the chaos started, I felt like I could breathe. Maybe I wasn't perfect, and maybe I had a lot to learn, but I was proud of myself. Proud that I could stand here, look my father in the eye, and tell him I was okay—even if my heart was still doing backflips from today's insanity.
All for One: I'm always here if you need me, Izuku. Remember that.
Me: Thanks, Dad.
And just like that, the conversation ended.
No pressure, no demands, just a father showing his concern.
I guess he just wanted to check if I was unhurt. It did had that expression to me. Anyways after this small talk without any big meaning, I decided to tell him about the flying pigs and Nezu. He started smiling and he seemed proud as well. Even All Might did seem proud to me earlier giving me thumbs up for scaring these people who dumped cold water on me. I told him all about the pranks and how crazy UA was for the first day and after that, I got safely home.
Now it was time to get back to my vigilante life for sure.
