Jumping to conclusions... AGAIN?!

I had been running in this nightmare of a city for hours. It was already dark and I couldn't leave it be. Shoto was helping me, Yes... my fathr was helping me, YES.... the LOV is probbly helping me too.... YES! BUT I couldn't just sit there and wait and so I was scouring the city for any sign of Eri. It felt like searching for a needle in a haystack, but I couldn't shake the feeling that I was close. Or maybe it was just the desperation talking.

Okay, stay focused.

No more getting distracted by mysterious vigilantes or weirdly-dressed dudes in masks.

Tonight is about Eri.

As I turned a corner, my eyes caught a glimpse of someone hunched over on the ground in a nearby alleyway. The figure was dressed in black, barely visible in the dim light, and moving in a way that screamed suspicious.

What is he doing?

Picking a lock?

Planting a bomb?

Digging for buried treasure?

I quickly ducked behind a dumpster, peeking out to keep an eye on the figure. They seemed to be fiddling with something on the ground, their movements quick but precise. My mind immediately started jumping to conclusions.

This has to be it!

They're definitely up to no good!

Maybe this guy knows where Eri is.

Maybe he's one of the people who took her!

Without thinking, I decided to follow him. Stealth mode activated—I crouched low, making sure my footsteps were as silent as possible. The figure didn't seem to notice me as they finished whatever they were doing and began walking down the alley, heading deeper into the labyrinth of side streets.

Alright, Izuku.

Time to channel your inner spy.

You've got this.

You were trained by Stain.... and don't need this peptalk.

I trailed him for a few blocks, staying close but not too close. The figure moved with a weird sort of grace, like they were used to slinking around in the dark. Every so often, they would stop and look around, making my heart race as I pressed myself flat against a wall or ducked into a doorway.

Okay, this guy is definitely a pro.

Or maybe he's just paranoid.

Either way, he's hiding something, and I'm going to find out what it is.

Finally, the figure stopped in a secluded spot near an old warehouse. I watched as they knelt down again, this time pulling out what looked like a thin piece of wire.

Aha!

Sabotage!

Time to make my move.

I stepped out of the shadows, ready to confront them.

Me: Hey! Stop right there!

The figure froze for a split second, then whirled around to face me. Even in the dim light, I could see that this wasn't some ordinary crook—he moved too fast, too smooth. My heart skipped a beat as I realized I might've bitten off more than I could chew.

Great, Izuku.

You just picked a fight with an actual ninja.

Well, too late to back out now.
