I can handle this.
I can handle this.
I can handle—
That mantra was on repeat in my mind as more of those damn bird-masked villains surrounded me. Their footsteps were light, barely making a sound as they circled me like vultures, but I could feel their intent, their hunger. They wanted me down. The first one were easy t fight but it was getting harder and harder for no reason.
Not happening.
I lunged at the closest one, my daggers gleaming in the dim light. The blade connected with fabric, and the villain let out a hiss of pain, stumbling back. But they didn't retreat—no, they came at me harder, faster.
Villain: Take him down!
One of them snarled that, and suddenly they were all on me at once.
I was spinning, ducking, and dodging their attacks, my heart racing. Damn, I hate this. But there was no time to think, no time to hesitate. Every move I made had to be perfect, or I was done for.
One of them tried to grab me from behind, but I twisted out of their grip, slashing upward with my dagger. They recoiled, but another took their place, and I could feel the pressure mounting.
Where the hell was Overhaul?
That bastard's probably just watching from the shadows like some kind of twisted puppet master.
The thought made my blood boil even more. This wasn't just a fight—it was a game to him. And I was the prey.
But I wasn't going to go down easy. I managed to take out another one of the masked villains, their body hitting the ground with a thud, but that's when I saw him—a tall figure with a sickly, calm expression.
Hari.... his side kick the one I did fight before....
He moved with a kind of eerie grace, a lazy smile on his face like this was all just a mild inconvenience to him.
Hari: You're causing quite the ruckus......
Me: Oh yeah? Well, you're about to regret getting in my way.
Hari didn't respond, just adjusted his gloves like he was getting ready for some chore, and that's when he moved—a blur of motion that had my instincts screaming. He was fast, too fast, and before I knew it, he had me by the throat, lifting me off the ground like I weighed nothing.
Hari You should've stayed quiet kid... better had accepted his proposal.
Hari muttered, his grip tightening.
I struggled, kicking out, but he barely flinched.
Damn it, not like this. I
can't go down like this!
And then, as if the universe decided to throw me a bone, I heard a loud crash—a sound that echoed through the alleyway like thunder.
I barely had time to process it before Hari's grip loosened, and I fell to the ground, gasping for air. I looked up, eyes wide, as a figure stepped out of the shadows, her presence radiating sheer, terrifying power.
Grandma?
The old woman stood tall, her eyes blazing with fury, her hair whipped by an invisible wind. And the villains... they froze. All of them. Even Hari took a step back, his calm demeanor faltering as he locked eyes with the woman who was about to send him and his buddies straight to hell.
Grandma: You picked the wrong day to mess with my grandson!!!!! My son in LAW!!!!
She growled, her voice low and deadly... it was sending shivers down my very own spine as well.
Overhaul finally showed his face, his eyes narrowing as he sized her up, but he didn't have time to react. In a flash, Grandma was on him, her speed putting every single one of them to shame. She moved like lightning, delivering blows with a force that rattled the entire alley. One by one, the villains fell, sent flying by her relentless attacks.
I watched, stunned, as she took down each of them with a kind of brutal efficiency that left no room for mercy... and her flames.... she was giving the words "go to hell" a brand new meaning. Even Hari, with all his smug arrogance, was thrown aside like a ragdoll, crumpling to the ground in a heap.
Overhaul managed to dodge her first attack, but not the second. She caught him across the chest with a powerful kick, sending him skidding back, his coat fluttering as he struggled to stay on his feet. Blood dripped from his lip, and I could see the shock in his eyes.
Grandma: You're all just pests.
Grandma hissed, her voice cutting through the chaos like a knife.
Grandma: And it's time someone dealt with you properly! How dare you mess with my children?!
The last of the villains were down, groaning in pain, and Overhaul, despite his injuries, still tried to stand. But before he could even think about a counterattack, Grandma was in front of him, her fist colliding with his face with a sickening crack.
He crumpled to the ground, out cold before he even hit the pavement.
I stood there, still catching my breath, unable to believe what just happened. The alley was a mess of unconscious villains, and in the middle of it all stood Grandma, looking like she just took a stroll in the park.
Grandmother: Are you alright, Izuku?
I nodded, still in shock, as she walked over and pulled me into a tight hug.
Grandmother: Don't ever do something so reckless again. You scared the hell out of me.
Me: Sorry, Grandma,.... how did you even find me?
Grandma: GPS tracking. I pulled some strings.
Damn, she's scary when she's angry....
Note to myself... don't anger her....
