Puvi

As soon as I get back from the office, I refresh hurriedly and deck on my casuals before sauntering towards Dhana's apartment.

This feels novel.

I've never been so excited to meet someone in my life. There has never been this eagerness in me to behold a person...

Everything seems distinct to me at present.

Brushing aside the funny feeling inside my stomach, I unlocked the door to the apartment and was met with Thamara aunt who was messing with her husband's hair as he watched the news while being perched on the couch.

"Do you close the shop earlier these days, uncle?" I ask, walking inside after shutting the door behind me.

He gives me a blank look, prompting me to understand that he's still resentful of me. "Yes, he does Puvi. He wanted to spend more time with Dhana. However, she's now become a studious one who doesn't stay away from her books. She's asked us to not disturb her until 8.30.pm," Heeding those words bloomed pride and happiness within me.

My Dhana is studying sincerely...

It sounds odd, given that she's never been very much interested in studies so far. She used to pester me with tutoring her but never did she seemed genuinely curious to learn.

"I'll once check in on her aunt," she shakes her head. "I don't think she'll be inclined to meet you right now. She's got a friend with her to tutor her," Then she chuckles as uncle's face becomes dark.

Huh?

Though I'm displeased that I won't be able to tutor her anymore and spend time with her simultaneously, I'm glad she's brought a friend to tutor her; it shows her determination to study.

"It's fine aunt. I won't distract her. I'll just have a few words with her and retreat," Aunt shrugs at my response.
"Go ahead then," I couldn't understand the reason behind that smile on her countenance.

Dubious, I saunter to Dhana's room where the door was half-opened. From inside, a male voice perforates my ear. What in the world!?

As a result of my nerves kicking up, my legs rush into the room.

"What the hell, Dhana!?" She's with a boy!? A freaking boy!? And they're seated close to each other!

The guy regards me with a confused face while Dhana offers me a fed-up look. "Tell him to get back to his home, I'll tutor you," words were quick to leave my mouth and the restlessness I sensed within me was unfamiliar.

"Who are you to say that, Puvi!? He's my friend and I want him to tutor me—not you," Fuck, I could feel myself turning furious and having wild thoughts. But I knew I'd to control it. If not, Dhana would despise me more than she does already.

Thus, I suppress my berserk mind and calmly speak to her, "Dhana...Dhana Lakshmi, I said I'll tutor you," I press and stare coldly at her.

"I don't want you to," she snaps rudely. "Now get out of here, Puvi! You're wasting my time," My head was literally burning hot in anger yet I held myself together.

"You're talking way too much. I won't take such disrespectful behavior from you lightly. I'm older than you Dhana, talk accordingly," she rolls her eyes at my utterances.

This little...

"I cannot respect you for the sake of you being elder than me. You should behave as such too. Perhaps then, I would think about treating you with respect as you desire. But for now, you should get out, Puvi," throwing a frosty glance at the guy who was reclined with a clueless expression on his countenance, I exit the room fiercely.
