The thing that crawled out of Subdeacon Michel Garrigue's mouth was somewhat slender, covered in brown-green scales, resembling a blurred, transparent lizard.

As soon as it left Michel's body, its dark green vertical eyes began darting around, surveying its surroundings with evident vigilance.

In the process, it even glanced out the window, but it didn't spot the "white paper." Instead, it let Lumian and Aurore feel the cold indifference in its gaze.

"What is that?" Lumian asked.

Aurore shook her head. "I don't know, it seems like some kind of special spirit."

Lumian immediately made a judgment. "It doesn't look like anything good!"

Even with the "white paper" and the mirror between them, the lizard-like creature still made him feel incredibly uneasy, his hair standing on end.

Aurore glanced at him and warned, "This 'lizard' seems to carry a certain level of mental pollution. Just looking at it from afar makes one feel uncomfortable, and staring at it for too long might even cause psychological issues. Be careful, if the discomfort gets worse, close your eyes immediately and try meditating to recover before you look again."

"So far, I'm okay," Lumian replied with a nod. "What about you? Aren't you feeling uncomfortable?"

Aurore smiled. "As a 'Seer,' I've seen things far more polluting than this. My resistance is much higher than yours. Besides, I occasionally go mad, so being a bit crazier or more frequently mad doesn't seem like a big deal."

"I think we need to check your mental state after that last sentence," Lumian said, half-concerned, half-joking.

Aurore chuckled. "That's called self-deprecation. At times, it's not as simple as wanting to look away. The special nature of a Seer's eyes can't be completely sealed off; it can only be barely managed so it doesn't affect daily life."

As the siblings spoke, the lizard-like blurry creature swiftly crawled along the walls and floor, heading toward the lower levels of the house.

On the first floor, opposite the main door, several animal skulls were hung on the wall, belonging to a wolf, a deer, and a wild boar. Subdeacon Michel Garrigue wasn't originally from Cordu, so he should have lived directly in the church. However, he was refused by Guillaume Bénet under some pretext and had to rent a room in hunter Sabatay's house.

The "lizard" crawled into the wolf's skull, weaving in and out of its orifices.

Soon, it moved to the wild boar's skull, continuing the same activity.

After emerging from the deer's pale skull, the lizard-like creature scurried outside at a speed several times faster than a running horse. The "white paper" floated silently in the night air, following it.

The "lizard" crawled all the way out of the village, eventually reaching the square.

It circled around the church, came to the cemetery, and dived into a certain grave.

Ten seconds later, it emerged and entered another grave with a tombstone.

Just like that, the lizard-like creature roamed between different graves. Lumian could even imagine it entering and exiting different human skulls inside the coffins.

The image made Lumian's skin break out in goosebumps, and he couldn't help but ask, "What on earth is it doing?"

He simply couldn't comprehend it!

Aurore shook her head slowly. "This is beyond my knowledge."

After it had finished "strolling" through the cemetery, the lizard-like transparent creature returned the way it came and entered Subdeacon Michel Garrigue's room.
