"Yes." Susie's gentle voice reached Lumian's ears. Almost simultaneously, Lumian felt as though his consciousness had been tied to a heavy object, pulling him down at high speed, sinking deeper and deeper.

Within just a few seconds, his eyelids grew heavy, and he could no longer resist closing them as his thoughts became increasingly muddled.

In a dazed state, Lumian seemed to transform into a floating ghost, wandering aimlessly in the familiar Cordu Village on a dark night.

After an unknown amount of time, he maintained a slight degree of clarity and saw the church with its onion-shaped dome. Near the front door, a halo of light was gathering, while the rest was shrouded in darkness, like a shadow.

Lumian drifted aimlessly to the side of the churchyard, where in the deep gloom, rows of gravestones stood in eerie silence, trees casting shadowy figures. A few men were dragging a corpse to a freshly dug pit, preparing to throw it in.

Under the dim crimson moonlight, one of the men raised his head and looked around. His face was broad and fleshy, with black hair, blue eyes, and features seemingly veiled by shadow.

Pons Bénet!

Lumian suddenly became more aware.

The distance between them closed in an instant, and Lumian looked down at the corpse.

The body's face was bloated from water, pale as a ghost, with soaked brown hair and wide-open brown eyes, frozen in pain, unwillingness, and resentment.

Raymond!

Lumian's heart surged with intense hatred as he shouted angrily at Pons Bénet and the others, venting his emotions. He felt as if he cursed them repeatedly, attacked the villain Pons Bénet, and dug furiously at the pit with his hands.

Dirt lodged under his nails, and another corpse was revealed at the bottom of the pit. The girl's lake-blue eyes bulged grotesquely, her face bluish-purple, mouth wide open, neck swollen with clear signs of strangulation. Her expression was one of extreme suffering.

Ava!

Lumian shot to his feet, driven by a strong wave of emotion, and took a step towards Pons Bénet. This action abruptly woke him up.

Panting, Lumian stared at the empty sofa across from him and began to take deep breaths.

The strong emotions of outrage and hatred from the dream still lingered in his body, causing him to tremble slightly.

"What did you see?" Susie's gentle voice asked after a few seconds.

Lumian's facial muscles twisted slightly as he replied, "I saw... I saw Raymond and Ava's bodies. One was drowned, the other seemed to have been strangled..."

"Pons Bénet and his thugs were burying their bodies in the churchyard. I yelled at them, I wanted to do something... and then I woke up."

Susie listened quietly and then said soothingly, "This time, I didn't guide you to lucid dream and seek symbolic clues but rather allowed you to access certain scenes in your subconscious through the dream."

"What you saw, even if it doesn't completely reflect the truth, is a composition of events that did occur. There may be overlaps in time and space, but the basic details can be trusted and interpreted."

Lumian asked in pain, "So you're saying that I really did witness Pons Bénet and his men burying Raymond and Ava's bodies in the graveyard?"

"That's not certain," Susie began her analysis. "What we can see for now is that Raymond was indeed drowned by Pons Bénet and his men, and Ava was strangled by them. Both of their bodies were buried somewhere in the graveyard."
