Black vines hanging from the roof had bloomed with blood-red flowers, completely sealing off the third floor of the castle.

Guillaume Benet, Pierre Berry, and Sibyl Berry were defending against the attacks of the "Midwife" and others while charging toward the tower.

As these scenes flashed through Lumian's mind, other fragmented images also appeared: in the tower crawling with clawed infants, the invisible Guillaume Benet, with the help of Shepherd Pierre Berry, managed to touch the "Midwife's" shoulder with his right hand, causing the "Midwife" to explode as if a bomb had been planted inside her; Sibyl Berry was killed by a maid but was reborn inside her, taking over her body; in a floating aerial view, Louis Lund was giving birth to a child in a room; Louis Lund, seemingly unaffected, teamed up with Administrator Béost to suppress the "rampaging" Shepherd Pierre Berry; in the wilderness leading to the mountains, Father Guillaume Benet was surrounded by countless spirits clothed in sackcloth.

Lumian frowned, showing a pained expression as if these memories were like sharp blades piercing his soul, where extracting them would only bring more harm, causing him to instinctively resist further recollection.

Soon, the scenes faded, and Lumian gasped for breath.

"How was it? Did you gain anything?" Suzy's voice was gentle, as if asking about what was for breakfast. Lumian pondered before answering, "I recalled the battles between Father Benet, his group, and Madame Pualis's subordinates. The images were very chaotic, very fragmented...

"Sometimes, I feel like I'm observing from the scene, while at other times, it seems as if I'm watching the scenes from a distance through some means..."

This left him very confused about his role and position in this situation.

At times, it seemed he was one of the participants, deeply involved in the battle, while at other times, he appeared to be a mere observer with no connection to either side.

Suzy prompted him, "Besides these, what other doubts do you have about the memory that just resurfaced?"

"I didn't see Madame Pualis... It seems her shadow was involved only in the part where Father Benet was surrounded by a large number of spirits in the wilderness. Father Benet and his group were barely managing to deal with Louis Lund, Cassie, Béost, and the 'Midwife,' who are Madame Pualis's subordinates. I can't believe they could have won if Madame Pualis had joined the battle..."

"Why would Madame Pualis willingly give up, leave Cordu, and not stop Father Benet and his group?"

"It wasn't a voluntary retreat; she was forcibly sent away," Suzy corrected. "The ritual in your dream where the 'Spring Elf' was sent away likely symbolizes the expulsion of Madame Pualis. The 'Spring Elf' represents harvest, the end of the desolate winter, and the budding of life, which closely aligns with the abilities exhibited by Madame Pualis and her group."

"Then something is even more wrong..." Lumian's voice gradually turned pained, his hands clenched tightly, feeling unable to continue recalling.

"If you don't want to remember, then don't. Awakening all your memories is not something that can be achieved in one therapy session. Take your time, no need to rush."

Lumian slowly exhaled, his body no longer as tense.

"You can sleep and see if you can find more answers in the dream."

In Lumian's ears, the "psychologist's" voice, initially soft, gradually became more distant, as if drifting into another world.

His eyelids grew heavier, and eventually, they closed.
