In an instant, Lumian's nerves were on high alert.

He turned around, returned to the bedside, and grabbed the "Fallen Mercury" with his left hand, which was wrapped in a white bandage.

Immediately, he picked up his shotgun, and with the sound of "ding-ling-ling," he cautiously approached the bedroom window, carefully peering towards the front door.

There was no one there!

At that moment, Lumian's heart seemed to stop beating.

He decided to activate his "Spirit Vision" to take another look.

Due to the fact that in the dream ruins, the moment he entered a meditative state and maintained it for a few seconds, he would hear those insane and terrifying voices, showing signs of losing control, so he couldn't smoothly use this ability. It took him quite a while to complete the necessary preparations.

Yet even after activating "Spirit Vision," he still didn't see any figure at the doorway.

However, the sound of the doorbell continued to echo endlessly.

As various thoughts raced through his mind, Lumian seriously considered whether he should return to bed, force himself to sleep, and escape the dream.

But then he thought about the unknown danger that had already arrived and could invade his semi-basement two-story house at any moment. He realized that even if he returned to reality, he might not be able to avoid further attacks.

"Two possibilities: If the one ringing the doorbell can come in, going back to bed would mean giving up on any defense;

"If it can't come in, as long as I don't get provoked into opening the door myself, there won't be any problem.

"Either way, I should go downstairs to check..."

Lumian quickly made up his mind.

He sheathed the "Fallen Mercury" back at his waist, secured his axe, picked up the shotgun, and cautiously stepped out of the room, making his way downstairs.

As soon as he reached the first floor, his eyes caught the silhouette of a figure.

Sitting by the dining table, which was meant for six people, directly opposite the staircase, was the mysterious lady Lumian had previously searched for in vain.

She was dressed in a white short blouse with a large bow at the collar. Her lower body seemed to be clad in a pair of pearl-gray loose pants, giving off a casual yet sophisticated aura.

At that moment, she was sipping from a cup of pale golden liquid, with a black bowler hat resting beside her.

Lumian immediately relaxed and walked towards the mysterious brunette with blue eyes.

As he set down his shotgun and axe, he pulled out the chair opposite her and sat down, asking, "You can enter here?"

The lady set down her cup and smiled faintly, "How else did you think those materials ended up in your room?"

As she spoke, the doorbell finally stopped ringing.

Lumian glanced at the door, puzzled, and asked, "Since you can already come in, why bother ringing the doorbell?"

The lady chuckled, "It's a matter of courtesy."

Courtesy that could scare someone to death? Lumian only dared to grumble in his mind.

He got straight to the point, "I obtained the extraordinary materials corresponding to the 'Arsonist.' Hmm, it should be 'Arsonist.'"

The lady nodded lightly, "I know. That's why I came to find you."
