"How is it?" Lia and Valentine asked simultaneously as they saw Lane approach.

Although they had begun to believe Lumian's words, there was still a sliver of hope that the situation might not be as severe as he described—perhaps just an exaggeration due to his limited experience.

Lane looked around, ensuring there was no one else near the elm tree, before speaking in a low voice, "I didn't dare to ask too directly, but I found out that the real date is already late April. The exact day is unclear."

Lia and Valentine fell silent at the same time.

They truly were trapped in a strange time loop!

Judging by the various files and information, this was definitely not something the three of them should be dealing with, nor was it something they could handle.

All three were seasoned Beyonders who had dealt with numerous supernatural incidents, but this was the first time they had encountered something so severe and abnormal.

Unable to contain herself, Lia turned her head to Lumian and asked, "What kind of place is your Cordu Village?"

It was one bizarre phenomenon after another, each more extreme than the last!

"I have no idea," Lumian replied, looking innocent. "Before the loop, this place had beautiful scenery, the people were simple and kind, and everyone was normal and very hospitable."

He didn't tell the three outsiders that the person standing before them was also one of the abnormalities.

Lane sighed and said, "I've never encountered so many abnormalities at once, and each one is very serious."

"This is the most dangerous situation I've ever faced," Valentine added.

Lumian had grown somewhat numb to it all and scoffed, "It's normal that you've never encountered such things before—everyone who has is dead."

Lia shot him a smile and said, "If you don't know how to speak properly, then don't say anything. Someone like you wouldn't survive elsewhere."

"Killed in the cradle?" Lumian muttered to himself before turning to Lane. "Did you manage to get any information about the priest at the Dupari Chapel?"

Lane nodded. "They said that in recent years, similar legends have appeared one after another in various parts of the Northern and Southern continents.

"These legends say that Heaven banished a group of sinful sprites, forcing them to come to earth. They can only reside within human bodies, hoping to atone for their sins one day, receive absolution, and return to Heaven.

"In some of these legends, the sprites are described as transparent lizards.

"By the way, when I say 'sprites,' I'm not referring to the ancient elven race. The term here is closer to a mix of fairies and various spirits."

Again in recent years? Lumian recalled that the legends related to "The Lady of the Night" had also only surfaced in recent years.

What on earth is happening in this world?

He thought for a moment and asked, "Did they mention which god's Heaven it was?"

Lane shook his head. "Strangely enough, every person who claims to have seen the sprites believes they came from the domain of their local god."

By "local god," he meant the mainstream deities worshiped in the area.

Different gods' Heavens? Lumian looked up at the blue sky.

Could that lizard-like sprite have come from the heavens?

But according to Aurore, the sky above is the starry expanse, with each star representing a world.
