Pressing himself tightly on the coffin lid, he gripped the iron chain with both hands, pushing the evil coffin to full speed.
The evil coffin's original speed was already 250 kilometers per hour. With the boost, Gu Xi was almost thrown off, but he held on tightly to the iron chain, preventing himself from being flung off.
Within seconds, Gu Xi returned to the base of his city gate.
Before he could fully rally his undead troops for battle, a loud bang erupted behind him.
Gu Xi didn't even consider looking back. He quickly released his grip and slid off the evil coffin, evading the blast's shockwave.
However, the anticipated shockwave did not occur.
Aside from the explosion sound, there was no further movement.
Curiously, Gu Xi peeked out and saw a large crater where he had previously placed the farmer's cabin.
There was nothing else.
The castle was gone, and the ghost troops that had followed were also gone.
Everything in front of him was clean as if nothing had happened.
Only the large crater proved what had just occurred.
"Phew, almost died in there."
Looking at the huge crater, Gu Xi swallowed hard and finally let out a sigh of relief.
If it weren't for the evil coffin's temporary speed boost, if Gu Xi had been distracted by the pop-up prompt, the explosion could have engulfed him too.
Now, he stood at the edge of the crater, observing everything.
Glancing at the crater, Gu Xi really wanted to ask what had happened during the explosion.
But these undead couldn't communicate with Gu Xi, so he had to let it go.
With this attack halted, Gu Xi's side finally quieted down.
The pirate ship and castle couldn't take down Gu Xi's defended node, and the ghosts knew this area was tough. They were reconsidering their next move.
Meanwhile, at the core of the Necromancer's ritual array, the Archmage was chanting incantations, surrounded by sixty undead mage players.
Unlike the mages defending outside, these players specialized in poison or cold attributes.
They weren't skilled in commanding undead troops, but they were strong in poison or ice attacks.
