You said, picking up the letter beside it.

It was in a black and gold envelope, sealed with a blood red wax stamp.

The note read;

I hope you accept these beautiful roses as a token of my love and appreciation, though it is a pity i cannot pass them to you myself.

Feeling like you had solved a puzzle, you plopped onto bed with a satisfied smile.
