When You Stand Up For Them [Vagastrom]

He did not, and would never lay a hand on another person for no reason. He knew the damage he could deal so why in the world would he kill his own loyal housemate? He was simply the last person who saw Naoki before his unfortunate demise and was just as affected by it as everyone else.

The rest of the Darkwick students seem to think otherwise.

Alan wasn't even aware of anything that happened outside of Vagastrom, his only concern was to get to the bottom of this curious case and find out what really killed his housemate. Even if he did know what others had been saying about him, he had more important things on hand to work on. Although it always filled him with remorse when he was reminded of his past.

He would let it slide. But you didn't.

"Sorry, but the investigation is still ongoing. Please don't spread baseless and unnecessary rumours in the mean time."
You narrowed your eyes at the three students who had been speculating all about Alan.

"I mean, who knows? Besides, doesn't he have a history on, you know... killing people-"

"And so does any other ghoul involved in the Crash. Anyways, if you guys have nothing to do, why don't you guys try and solve the case with us? Ooh, that way you actually get to know Alan better, instead of talking behind his back like that."

With that, they simply shifted away with a head shake.

Alan had just returned from a anomalous combat, witnessing the whole scene unfold brought a tiny smile on his face.

- He always knew you were a great person, you always offered to help out with anything during missions despite all limitations and Leo's incessant remarks.

- He would go up to thank you afterwards for standing up for him. He thinks it's only right to do so since he witnessed everything.

- Will instruct everyone in the Vagastrom den to treat you with utmost respect, because you're one of them now. Not that you weren't treated nicely before, but now you have premium treatment.

- Stern warnings to Leo if he says anything out of line. +
"You're on garage cleaning duty for the next two days, Kurosagi."

Some goofball said to his friend while eating the food Sho so carefully prepared to sell. This had been going on for a few days already. This group of students had been coming to Sho's truck just to hurl insults and devour all his precious resources.

Was what he had thought. He would show them a piece of his mind, but it wasn't worth the disciplinary lecture after.

"Yeah, we could totally find better stuff out there,"
It was as if the student had said it louder on purpose.

Sho scoffed, he didn't waste his ingredients on some dumbasses just to get insulted. There were others who would beg to have a bite of his food.
"Then get your ass somewhere else, i don't know why you keep coming back."
He retorted from his truck.

"Wow, shitty attitude from the chef too. Tsk, tsk, tsk,"
The student smirked, before sweeping the takeout bowl away from the table.

But you caught his hand before it could push it off.

"You heard the man, get your unappreciative ass somewhere else."
You threw his hand away and took his friend's food away as well as his.

"And who even are you?"

"Someone who would enjoy this delicacy."

"You're a joke,"
He shoved you but was once again stopped by another group of burly students, dressed in ochre yellow vests.

"You're the joke. First year."
All of them sneered at the group of rude students, and suddenly, their legs seem to turn into jelly, before deciding to make a wiser option of retreating.

"We'll take what they had, Iron fists,"
The Vagastrom seniors waved to Sho, while you sit amidst the giants mimicking their actions.

- Sho was dumbstruck but he also found it miraculous how you managed to convinced his seniors to come along.

- Someone like you had the gall to stand up to another person like that when you clearly had no combat skills? Praiseworthy.
But bringing along his seniors as backup? Smart and freaking amazing.

- You get massive discounts for your meals from now on, sometimes you may even get them for free.

- Anytime you feel hungry, just ring him up. Yes this is exclusively only for you, if you ring him up for anyone else, he isn't going.

Leo Kurosagi

Rats. These internet rats. Spreading all these false rumours about him on Wickhive and instagram. Jealousy, he supposed. Afterall, he was quite a big influencer.

Not that it mattered. His fans still had his back no matter what.
He backtracked his steps after seeing a familiar figure.

You stood amidst several other Jabberwock students, who crowded around, domineering over you.

"Haha, why should we? That Kurosagi is nothing good."
A student retorted.

"Even so, what good is spreading this kind of news?"

"Obviously to tarnish his name."
The student answered nonchalantly.

"Anonymous1308 is linked to your account called V_0zz, isn't it?"
You read out.

"How did you-"

"Take the post down. Or should i read out all your accounts?"
You repeated and he immediately took action, his little followers behind all scrambling to delete the hate posts and comments.

- Hey, hey, not bad for someone like you, honour roll. Leo is dying to know how you got your hands on their main accounts. Not that he couldn't do it, he just wanted to know how you did it.

- Are you secretly his fan too? No one in the right mind would stand up for someone who throws insults at them at any chance he gets.

- You ranked up a little bit in his mind. Not just an NPC. You can be useful when you want to be, huh?

- Fine. He'll bite his tongue back when you act all blur and stupid during missions, courtesy of you standing up for him. But don't get used to it.
