(Finally at the last house before i post a taiga chapter hahah)

Yuri Isami

He was the reason i started writing 'when you stand up for them'.

My heart sank when i saw him cry in the last chapter. Mr high and mighty finally being humbled right? But it didn't feel satisfying to see him get talked down by those two Frostheim students.

Yuri cried silently for a while, not answering your question. Jiro seemed to remain indifferent to this, as if he had seen it happen before.

You weren't too good at comforting people yourself, and was hesitant to place a hand on Yuri, thinking he might just push it away. But you did it anyway.

To your disbelief, he didn't, letting you put a few soft pats onto his back.

People who put on such a big arrogant act are the weakest at heart, you could already tell that much from all your interctions with Yuri.

After the case was completed, Yuri seemed to have recovered externally, back to his arrogant self again. But you weren't about to let things go. Yes he has a sharp tongue, but he wasn't a bad person at heart. And why attack his passion?

"Can you help me tell these two students to see find me at frostheim common room after class?"
You showed Professor Mobius the permission slip from the Chancellor.

Being an honour student meant you could pull a few strings here and there.

"Wait you're that girl who was in his lab the other day, aren't you?"
The girl asked in doubt.

"Who cares who she is?"
The boy replied,
"What do you need from us?"

"About the medicine the other day... it may have been mixed up with one of the prototypes."
You said with an apologetic look.

"What?!"
They exclaimed in unison.

"So what now?! Am i going to die?"
The girl gasped.

"No, no. I can actually give you the cure that neutralises all side effects."
You held up two small vials.

But when they desperately reached for it, you pulled it back.

"But I'll need you two to verbally give a formal apology to Yuri."
Your soft eyes turned into a glare, holding up your phone recorder.

"That's nuts. Why should i apologise for anything, just give it to us and don't be annoying."
The boy rolled his eyes reaching out for the vial again, but you were still faster.

"It's been about 2 days since your took in the prototype, any longer and you might actually..."

At that the girl panicked,
"I-I'll do it, damn it!"

She complied, to which you raised a brow at the other boy,
"And you?"

.

.

.

You snickered quietly as you skipped back to Yuri's office. Those two actually drank the salt water vials down, thinking it was cure.
No way Jiro made a mistake, you made that all up just to see their horrified looks. Serve them right.

- Yuri was furious once he caught news of what you did. You crazy ignorant fool! Why would you tarnish his name even further in that place? More importantly, why would you do that for him? He doesn't need your help- and how if you got hurt? Don't create another medical issue for him.

- But all thoughts were lost when you sprinted into his office, panting with a goofy smile on your face as you held up your phone replaying the apology from them.

- "You..reckless idiot..." he held back the tears in his eyes, although his face turned red. He didn't want to cry in front of you again. Turning away, he gave you a full lecture on why you were foolish for doing this.

- Jiro finds him still working late into the night, though it wasn't uncommon for him to do that. "Don't sleep too late,"
He reminded Yuri, who only hummed in reply.
Spewed on his table were stacks of reports, documenting down different prototypes and formula, with titles that read "KYKLOS ANTIDOTE" and a number beside it, from #1 to #109.
"Agnihaet," he muttered, scribbling down all the observations from his newest tests, while infering new information for experiment #110.
He was going to find that cure no matter what it takes.

Jiro Kirisaki

He really doesn't care about anything other than his job as Yuri's assistant and sometimes school work. Other than that, he doesn't see a point in getting involved in pointless gossips.
His life is constantly on the line too, so where would he get the time to care?

You walked down the hall with Jiro to get your medicine from Yuri's office, overhearing two students talking about Jiro's frankenstein-like behaviour and abnormally tall stature.

"He might actually be one..."
They shuddered, before letting out a snicker.
"Also he has all those weird scars, it's really bad looking."

You cleared your throat as you shoulder checked between the two students.
"You should really care more about your surroundings,"

Their annoyed faces turned into horror as they watched the ghoul stride past them, his usual stoic dead look as he glared at them.

He was so tall it appeared like he was naturally glaring at everyone, but really, it's just his eyes looking down.

- Was confused why you had to cut through them when there was space beside but he understood later on you were trying to speak up for him.

- Appreciates it and would suddenly smile at you like he did when he saw your reaction to blood, giving you a random 'thanks for earlier,"

- He'll bring tea leaves to your room during check up just to make them there. He is trying to spend more time with you this way, don't chase him out.

- Stays up late with Yuri to help with cure finding for your curse. He also wants to find it as quickly as possible. Usually he doesn't care about life and death of a patient as long as he had done his part, he doesn't like the idea of losing you of all patients.
