Too tired behind it all (MC x Haru)

[Finally something for the happy-go- lucky and overworked captain of Jabberwock. Also working/studying something you're passionate about ≠ no stress. I feel like sometimes people tend to assume that if you're doing something you like as a job, you wouldn't get stressed about it. Sure it may be bearable, but it certainly gets tough too, especially when you're overworked. So anyone else who feels this way, i totally get it.]

6:00 am, wake up.
6:15 am, eat breakfast in the cafeteria with Peekaboo.
7:45 am, feed anomalies in Safari.
8:00 am, class starts, and after classes, head straight to care for anomalies.
Things never felt too much for the captain of Jabberwock.

"Bhanti!"

Haru zoomed around the shack, cleaning the place up in a blink of an eye but halfway through, he was stopped by the sharp pain in his head.

Recently, the throbbing wouldn't stop, and Haru might have a clue why. Despite just completing a tedious farm related mission, the captain continued working tirelessly in the Safari.

But he couldn't afford to stop now.

A drove of anomalous sheeps headed straight for the fences.
Their bleating heard after the wooden gate collapsed for the second time this week.

"Gahh-! Towa! I told you to gather them nicely back into their stable, not break the fences!"
The captain panicked, thinking about how much it would cost them to fix their stable again.
Jabberwock was always on tight budget because of all the maintenance and food needed for the animals.

Towa only floated around with a giddy smile, flower petals trailing behind him like they were tied to a string.

"Never mind that. Do you think you can help feed the bunnies?"
Haru heaved, dragging a large sack of bunny food and plopping it below the flying boy.

Towa nodded before sweeping the sack up to the sky and floating to the bunny cages.

A glance at the broken fences caused a sigh to leave Haru's mouth. Looks like he needed to head back to the casinos soon.

He checked his watch. It was already 5:00 p.m, Ren was still nowhere to be found. It wasn't new for the first year to skip his duties for a 'clan raid'.

"Haru,"
The voice made the weight on Haru's shoulder go away.

"MC,"
Your name rolled off his tongue smoothly. Only because you come around to help out so often.
"Could you take care of the frog pond? I need to get Ren... again."

"Sure!"
You beamed as you bounced over to the shack.

You always came at the best timings. Not many people were willing to help out around the Safari, quite evidently, and any help he could get was always appreciated.

With that, the captain headed for the dormitory where his less enthusiastic housemate resided.

------------------------☆---------------------------

You fiddled with the net in hands, collecting the excess weeds in the pond mindlessly.

Maybe you saw it wrong. Perhaps it was a shadow that casted the dark rim under Haru's eyes.

His exhausted tone, however, gave it away, and you could tell things were getting too much for him. Locking eyes on the broken fence that was fixed only days ago, you failed to notice the presence behind you.

A sudden pair of hands wrapped around your waist, making you jump.
"Towa!"

The boy giggled as he spun you around.

Zzzp!

"Towa, wait!"
You yelled for him to stop as soon as you heard that sound coming from the plastic bag that held all the green goop.
