Erebus examined his new blade with a curious eye, aware that it would not be long before it was marked by the blood of those who stood against Salem. He spun the sword in his grasp, contenting his curiosity, before securing the weapon upon his back.

Salem: I presume your pleased with your weapon Erebus?

Erebus: The blade will do for now, what am I to do next my queen? who must I face?

Salem: You will accompanying Wolf in his mission, you will know more when we get to the throne room.

Erebus grumbled quietly, frustrated by the lack of information. He was eager to know more, but he understood that pushing Salem for answers might threaten his safety. Annoyed, he moved out of the way, letting Salem lead him back to the throne room.

Salem; I'm amazed you don't have my questions Erebus, Artemis and Wolf were full of questions when I first created them....

Erebus: I am curious, but my questions should wait for another time, this is the time for pushing forth...although...

Salem: What is wrong?

Erebus: I keep getting...visions...

Indeed, as soon as Erebus became conscious, the image of a solitary figure bathed in pure golden light, staring intently at him, persisted in his mind. The young Grimm was perplexed by this vision. Could it represent a being from the future, one that might be more powerful than Salem herself?

Erebus: it doesn't matter, my only goal in this miserable life is to serve you until my dying breath.

Salem's smile was faint, yet it conveyed her satisfaction with Erebus's loyalty. Like the other Grimm, Erebus possessed an impressive array of attributes: strength, speed, intelligence, and an unwavering will. These qualities alone rendered him a formidable force on the battlefield, a true nightmare for the Huntresses and Huntsmen worldwide.

Erebus: I am curious about myself, about the future and my role within it.

Salem: it's only right your curious, yet we cannot predict the future, no mortal or Grimm can, regardless we must always keep pushing forth, despite the pain, despite the hardships...

Erebus stayed silent as he walked beside Salem, his gaze never swaying as he looked forth...

Upon arriving at the throne room, Salem and Erebus could already detect the presence of Artemis and Wolf. The young Grimm knight pushed the doors open and ushered Salem inside, his body still flickering with tiny sparks of embers.

Wolf and Artemis stood up from their chairs and gave a small bow to Salem.

Artemis: My queen, I pray for good fortune.

Wolf: Send me into battle my master, let me drown the world of Remnant in blood...

Salem settled into her throne with a resolute expression. Leaning forward on the table, she gestured for her Grimm to come closer.

Salem: As most of us are aware, the complex is now on it's last legs, the Atlas forces cannot keep defending it.

Erebus: Complex?

Artemis: There's a massive Atlas base that stores dust in mass quantity's, right now their sitting on enough dust to push back the grimm for years.

Wolf: And if we allow the ants to collect even more, then we will have major problems down the line, in Salem's name, we must destroy the complex, kill everyone and annihilate any dust we find in that place...no matter what...
