Following an extensive conversation with Ozpin, Erebus was guided through Beacon to his dormitory by Miss Goodwitch. He found her unrelenting sternness amusing, silently chuckling to himself. Despite being labelled grumpy by everyone, he noted that Glynda seemed perpetually irritated, every day and every hour. Nevertheless, Erebus concluded that provoking the headmistress would not be wise.
He'd do it at another time.
As Erebus sat meditating in his dorm room, he pondered the future. It seemed inevitable that his former allies would reappear and attempt to pursue the students. The very thought made him clench his fists tightly without realizing it. He was determined not to let Artemis and Wolf harm anyone; as the elder grimm, he had vowed to shield his students from dangers they couldn't confront. Yet, Erebus was aware that both Wolf and Artemis had gained experience and strength parallel to his own.
Erebus wondered if he even had the power to stop them...it had been years since he had seen Artemis, let alone wolf...
Dismissing all negative thoughts, Erebus rose to his feet, surveying the essentials Ozpin had considered necessary. A handful of desks and tables were arranged, adjacent to an outdoor balcony that offered a sweeping view of the lower campus grounds. Yet, this was inconsequential to Erebus, who was acutely aware that he faced the most challenging battle of his life the following day. The prevailing question in his mind: who would reveal themselves?
Would it be Wolf? would it be Artemis? either option wasn't appealing in the slightest.
Both Grimm were dangerous in their own right; Artemis was a tactical genius, fully harnessing the powers granted by Salem. Wolf, however, posed a greater threat due to his unmatched skill and experience. He seldom used his ice power, reserving it for moments when he was truly cornered. Erebus loathed to acknowledge it, but he shared similarities with Wolf—both were prideful, with wills as unyielding as iron. Regrettably, Wolf had become an adversary.
hearing someone knocking on his door, Erebus turned around and was fairly surprised, it was late and most people would have gone to sleep, walking up to the door and slowly opening it, he found himself face to face with...
Erebus: Miss goodwitch? what are you doing here? it's late and you need to get to sleep.
Glynda brushed some hair out of her face before sighing loudly.
Glynda: Ozpin said we need to work together and since I was rude this morning, I came here to say sorry, Ozpin may be as mad as a hare but he is right, you will be working alongside me and the other professors during your time at Beacon, it's only fair that I give you a shot.
Erebus: hmm, then I guess I should say thanks, I assume that is all you wish to speak about? or is there something else?
Glynda: believe it or not but I'd like to ask you a few more questions, if it isn't any trouble?
Erebus nodded before moving out of the doorway, motioning for Glynda to enter the dorm.
Umbra: By all means miss Goodwitch, I shall endeavour to answer them, please, enter my humble abode.
Glynda entered the room, Erebus could see the bags under her eyes as she slightly yawned.
Glynda: Thank you, it's been...a long day...
Erebus: I can imagine, are you sure your well enough to ask questions? you should get some sleep, I always forget you humans need that...
Glynda: Unfortunately being the headmistress of Beacon means you will have to go without sleep for a while, it's not the first time I've gone without a wink of sleep and I doubt it will be the last.
