Everyone edged back slightly from the peculiar girl, her vivid ginger hair starkly contrasting with her green attire. It wasn't just her appearance that was striking; despite having been tackled to the ground, she seemed excessively cheerful. Her scent was also odd to Erebus, unfamiliar and exotic, but he was abruptly pulled from his thoughts when the girl spoke in an upbeat tone.

Penny: Salutations everyone! how are you all doing this fine day!

The young girl, unfortunately, would not receive an answer anytime soon as Team RWBY was perplexed by her odd behavior. Erebus stepped forward and gave a slight bow, seizing control momentarily. He observed as the girl gave him a quick once-over, her gaze almost scanning him...

Erebus: Forgive us Miss, I believe we are all fine now, how are you doing? that was quite the fall you had?

Erebus observed the girl as she simply gazed at him. Had he been able to, he would have been sweating bullets; she was undoubtedly the most peculiar person he had ever encountered. Turning to Team RWBY, the girl appeared to be perplexed.

Penny: Excuse me friends! but why are you being followed by a grimm? it is most strange!

Weiss: He is a professor at beacon, he doesn't attack anyone and is not a normal Grimm.

Erebus: Indeed miss, I am not threat to you, my name is Erebus, care to tell us your name?

The girl seemed to regain her cheery mood as she now knew Erebus wasn't a threat.

Penny: My name is Penny! Penny Polendina! it's a pleasure to meet you!

Erebus crossed his arms and started to think, this girl was strange, there was no mistake, yet she spoke with confidence and glee, was she a spy for Salem? with all the students coming in, it would make sense for Salem to employ a spy, Erebus narrowed his eyes at her but luckily no one saw that.

Ruby: Well Penny! this is my team, we're team Rwby!

Yang: The name's yang! I'm the coolest one here by the way...

Blake: Blake Belladonna.

Weiss; I am Weiss Schnee, the heiress to the Schnee dust company and-

Erebus: I believe you have far more to say, say sorry to penny as it was you who knocked her down.

Weiss didn't seem to like that as she turned to Erebus with an irritated expression.

Weiss: I was going to say sorry! AHEM, I'm so sorry I run into miss Polendina, me and my team shall take our leave now.

Ruby: take care friend!

Everyone quickly turned heel and started to walk away, while Erebus couldn't explain why penny seemed so strange, he knew he couldn't judge, he wasn't an ordinary grimm, he himself was an oddity in the world of Remnant, while team Rwby may judge Penny, Erebus withheld any judgement until he could properly understand Penny.

Yang: Well she's weird? think Ice Queen might have fried her brains when she got knocked down!

Erebus: Just because she's different doesn't make her weird, the world of Remnant is full of strange people but that doesn't mean they are hopeless.

Weiss; That's not here nor there, i want to know what that Faunus riff raff ran off to! we still need to ask him questions-

It didn't slip past Erebus that Penny had followed them, keeping quiet, he merely watched as the ginger haired girl stood just behind team Rwby.

Erebus: Hello again Penny, do you need anything?

Erebus chuckled softly as the team experienced a jolt of surprise at the sight of Penny. Meanwhile, Penny appeared much more intrigued by Ruby and approached her. Ruby, under Penny's intense scrutiny, seemed to falter instantly. As Erebus's chuckles persisted, he began to think that venturing into town might not be such a bad idea after all.
