Five minutes later, Weiss appeared at the classroom entrance, clad in her white dress, rapier in hand, her expression one of unwavering determination. As her eyes narrowed, Erebus turned to Porter, who simply chuckled in response. Weiss positioned herself at the front, across the room a large cage loomed, ominous red eyes glowing within. Erebus, confident it wasn't a major Grimm, knew that underestimating any Grimm could prove deadly. The porter approached the cage fearlessly, brandishing an unusual weapon that seemed to be a combination of an old-fashioned blunderbuss and a substantial axe.
Porter: Now then! let's see what you can do miss Schnee!
Porter swiftly brought his weapon down on the lock and retreated just in time as a grim Boarbatusk emerged. Smirking at the knowledge that Boarbatusk's were considered the least threatening, Erebus joined Porter to watch. He decided he would intervene only if Weiss failed to defeat the Grimm and was in danger of being hurt. Until then, Erebus was happy to let the heiress demonstrate her capabilities.
Weiss quickly levelled her sword at the Grimm. The Boarbatusk, snarling, charged mindlessly at her. However, Weiss was too clever to be deceived by such a tactic. With unparalleled skill and grace, she leapt over the Grimm and thrust her sword into its side. Unfortunately, Boarbatusk's are incredibly resilient to direct attacks. To defeat them swiftly, one must target the stomach.
Yang: You got this ice queen!
Blake: keep it up!
Ruby: I believe in you Weiss! GO TEAM RWBY!
Weiss gave Ruby a fleeting look, one of unmistakable, seething rage, but quickly refocused on the Boarbatusk. Erebus observed that the Grimm was acting intelligently, more so than its kin. Humming to himself slightly, Erebus hadn't even noticed his growing concern for the young heiress...
Erebus noticed the Boarbatusk casting a hasty glance his way. For a moment, the ancient Grimm sensed the creature's fear emanating towards him, prompting a sadistic smile. He crossed his arms and hummed nonchalantly as Weiss launched into another attack.
Ruby: Weiss! You've got to hit it's belly, that's the weak spot-
Weiss: Stop ordering me around and stop telling me what to do!
Ruby's demeanour shifted at Weiss's words. Erebus remained as silent as a statue, observing the argument, his fingers twitching slightly in readiness should the situation escalate. Aware that the young heiress had lost her focus, Erebus kept a watchful eye as the Boarbatusk began its charge toward her.
As he had predicted, Weiss was pushed to the ground, wrestling with the Boarbatusk with all her might. The grimm knight contemplated intervening but ultimately decided against it. He couldn't defend everyone all the time; ready or not, he understood that this battle was Weiss's alone, and no one else should interfere.
Weiss mustered the strength to repel the Grimm and then summoned her distinctive semblance, conjuring a glyph in mid-air. The Boarbatusk collided with the glyph, and a resounding crack echoed as its right tusk broke off. It toppled onto its back, and Weiss leaped, driving her sword deep into its belly. The Grimm emitted a sorrowful wail of pain before succumbing.
Porter: Bravo! Bravo! it would appear we have a true huntress before us!
Erebus; Congrats miss Schnee.
Weiss appeared happy for a moment, but Erebus soon sensed a surge in her emotions, predominantly anger. As he tilted his head, he observed her giving Ruby an intense glare. The ancient Grimm speculated that much remained unspoken. With a sigh, Erebus uncrossed his arms and turned to Porter...
