Erebus was mostly enjoying his time at Beacon Academy. Although it was outside his comfort zone, he found satisfaction in knowing that the students were learning from him. Erebus wasn't one to boast or show off, but in terms of fighting Grimm and combat skills, he was far superior to almost anyone on the face of Remnant. However, some students did catch Erebus's attention; Yang was notably faster and stronger than her peers, only surpassed by Nikos. Erebus was certain that with proper guidance, both would achieve great things.
Erebus was preoccupied with other matters as the students had departed for lunch, leaving him alone with Porter. The old man had numerous questions he sought answers to, but Erebus, bound by a promise to Ozpin, divulged little, shrouding his tale in mystery. After thirty minutes of relentless questioning, Erebus's patience waned, and he exited the classroom. Remarkably, Porter had succeeded in giving the legendary Grimm knight a headache, a feat Erebus had deemed unachievable.
As Erebus walked through the luminous corridors of Beacon, his mind wandered to Artemis and Wolf. He was certain that Artemis's loyalty to Salem was unshakable, leaving Wolf as the sole candidate for redemption—a chance Erebus had missed. Nevertheless, the legendary Grimm knight acknowledged that the past was immutable, etched in stone. With resolve, he prepared for the future and the inevitable confrontation with Artemis, aware that the eyes of Remnant would be upon them.
Erebus was so caught up in his thoughts that he almost didn't hear the team approaching him...
Almost...
???: HEY HEY HEY! looks like the big bad Grimm's on the prowl!
Erebus turned to find a small team of Hunters he hadn't yet had the pleasure of meeting: a young girl with long rabbit ears, another sporting sunglasses with a decidedly fabulous look. Shifting his gaze, he observed two boys; one nearly matched his height with a large sword on his back, while the other, though clearly blind, seemed capable of combat for reasons yet unknown.
Erebus: Yes students? what do you require from me? I assume you're stopping me for a good reason?
Coco; oh you know, me and my team wanted to see the big bed grimm professor! everyone's talking about you! It was about time you met the greatest tea in this place!
Erebus: I'm convinced that some people still doubt my existence, but it's their loss. I am here and here to stay.
Velvet: I-It's just...no one has ever seen a grimm that acts the way you do! your unique!
Erebus: While I do appreciate your kind words, I am hardly special, I'm simply here by the orders of professor Ozpin to help with teaching a new generation of students to fight Grimm, I'm just trying to do the right thing.
Fox: Your pretty humble? personally thought you'd be a tad bit grumpier? you know? maybe a little bloodthirsty and mad?
Erebus: And why would I be "grumpy?", I am teaching a new generation of students how to combat my kind, people respect me and listen to my advice, I have plenty of reasons not to be angry...and I do not hold my kinds bloodlust and rage, I am more human at this point than grimm...
Coco; Hot damn, never thought I'd see a sassy grimm who isn't trying to kill me! jeez, I should make a book out of this...
Erebus: I'd rather not be immortalised in a book miss, I'd rather people remember me for what I have done, now, I'm afraid I need to leave, I'm sure there's other people who can tell you more about me...
Coco: Oh going somewhere?
Erebus: To the cafeteria if you must know, I have to talk with the other professor there.
