MALAK'S POV

I stare at Raliya dumbfounded still trying to figure out if she's possessed or just mentally unstable.

"Only God knows what's in that juice, so you better throw it all up now or you might not survive it" That is enough reason for me to start running to the nearest bathroom in the house to heave for as long as I could.

I'm barely 24, I'm not ready to die please.

It didn't take me long to get it all out, being an anorexic person throwing up isn't much of a job. It's what we do everyday, literally.

I and Raliya sat for a very long period of time not speaking a word to each other. I couldn't even take the water she offered, what if it was poisoned?

"Care to explain what just happened?" I asked exhausted and frustrated all the same time. Everything happened so fast I could barely register it in my brain.

"Just give me a moment" is all she said before getting up and heading to the door that links to where the maids stay.

A minute later, Raliya is back with a young girl shaking like a leaf as she sniffs and clean her tears from her face. This is way too confusing at this point.

"Explain what you did" Raliya said to her sternly and the girl shook. "Hajiya Dan Allah ki yi haquri, wallahi it wasn't on purpose" the girl said in the midst of her sniffles.

"Ban ce ki bata hqauri ba, I said to explain what happened" Raliya thunders and even though the girl flinched, she quickly nods her head.

"The woman that used to stay here before, Anty Haifa. She came in earlier, I was the one who opened the door for her. Ta ce aikan ki ta kawo and asked me not to bother calling you to inform about her visit"

"She gave the orange juice pack, tace ince wai in jita ne and she left" the girl explains.

I turned to Raliya.

"Why were you panicking?" I asked Confused. What was the fuss all about? Me taking a juice Haifa brought? She wouldn't be so stupid to kill me right?

Raliya told the maid to leave us alone before turning to me.

"You actually think Haifa will just drop by at this house with a gift and leave? She hates you. Kema kin sani. Taking something from her isn't safe" She explains. "Or maybe she just did that to rattle me" I shrug. "Or maybe she wants you to think that way so she could easily finish you off" Raliya argues.

"Look, Raliya I appreciate the concern okay. And yes, I know Haifa hates me but I don't think she has the capacity to do this. For the fact that she mentioned herself and didn't come in disguise says a lot. The juice was sealed too" I say slowly and Raliya sigh in resignation.

I appreciate the concern like I mentioned earlier, but there was no need for her to raise such a false alarm. I thought I was honestly going to die the next minute.

Raliya didn't say more as she turned to head back to the quarters.

"Huh?" I snap out of my trance of thoughts. "All good?" Na'eem asks and I nod.

I didn't tell him about the juice incident, actually there's no point. But what's bothering me the most is that entry from Nehal's journal.

He'll probably hate me if he hears that I've been going through his ex wife's stuff.

Everyone mentioned how in love with her he was and I can't even lie, that made me feel a light ache in my heart.

There's something she had that no one would ever have the way she did, Na'eem's heart.
