MONTHS LATER.
MALAK'S POV.
CAPPADOCIA, TURKEY.
Life has been so good to say the least. I have my husband, my daughter and two cats to keep me occupied, not to forget what I'm trying to build for my career. It's tiring but I love every aspect of it.
Fadul got married just few days ago and after the wedding chaos, Abuja to Kano, Kano to Yobe then back to Kano and then Abuja, I think I need a lifetime rest. That can wait though because I'm starting to tick off my bucket list.
Now in Turkey, Hajj in a few months and I don't know where the next location might be. Na'eem keeps planning the trips and I love being surprised every single time so I don't even bother to ask.
Remember how I said I wanted it to be solo? Apparently I don't. We're currently in Cappadocia in Turkey and I've never been happier. We arrived at Turkey and stayed in Istanbul for two days before travelling to Cappadocia.
Nadeen is with us on the trip because one, it's her mother's country and we both will like it if she knows even a little bit of her mother's heritage and there is a wedding of Nehal's childhood best friend who happened to be her neighbour when she was in Turkey. We got invited and the good thing is the event is happening at our hotel in Cappadocia.
"Got the card" Na'eem walks to me holding sleepy Nadeen's hands. "Finally" I sigh but still offered a small smile as he wraps his other free hand around my shoulder.
The workers moved our suitcases to the bedroom and we hit the mattress immediately we got to the room since we're starting our exploring adventures this same morning and we arrived at Cappadocia so early we were deprived of sleep.
We are staying at the Museum Hotel Cappadocia in Uçhisar and central to Göreme, Love Valley, Pasabag(Monks valley) and Uçhisar Castle. It is a five-star luxury cave hotel offering panoramic views over Cappadocia's valleys and mountains and also known for its beautiful rooms, antiques, and exclusive service.
So the plan is we rest for the next 3 hours, have breakfast and hit the road by 10:00pm.

"It's going to be cold out there princess" Na'eem wraps a gray shawl over my light cardigan and I almost roll my eyes at that but still kept it on my body.
"I have a cardigan on you know" I call after him. Who is Malak and Na'eem without a little argument? "Yeah I know, maybe you should check the weather forecast today" his head peeps through the doorpost and I roll my eyes hiding my smile. Again who's Malak and Na'eem without a comeback from the annoying man himself?
"Peach, it's time!" I hear him call on Nadeen and her faint "Okay Papa" came from the living room. She mumbles something again but I didn't hear as I carry my crossbody bag and rush out of the room.
"Time's up, let's get going" I clap my hands from the living room. "Dramatic" Na'eem says to my ear with a smile then take Nadeen's hand as we walk out of the suite with me smiling like an idiot. This man makes me feel things........
~
Cappadocia days are fun.
The first day after breakfast we went to the Göreme Open-Air Museum which is a 10 minute drive from the hotel, Cave Exploring of Derinkuyu and Kaymakli and then the Uçhisar Castle for sunset views. We took a lot of pictures at the castle before heading to dinner at Saklı Konak.
Second day was just as fun, dressed in a light jacket and shawl with my Pashmina veils and head warmers for Nadeen because apparently husband dearest is right about the Cappadocia weather, we started the day early with a hot air balloon ride. We had to check the best and safest company without age restrictions.
