MALAK'S POV

"I had to go, not that I want to" I whine and Haleema who is sitting beside me in the spa rolled her eyes. "Guys!" I screech annoyed. "Yeah we believe you and there's nothing wrong with you dressing up getting ready for your fiancé" Zulayha, whose face filled Haleema's iPad says with a smirk. "Leemah!" I turned to the most sensible of us all for help and she only shrugs. Before I could open my mouth, one of the spa workers came in to announce that it's our turn.

"Go dress up for the guy, he's a hot cake! I googled him yesterday" Zulayha said. "Saif wouldn't appreciate you calling someone a hot cake" I say referring to her husband. "But he is" Leemah shrugs. "You googled him too?" I ask mortified. "I'm not a saint, I couldn't help myself" she shrugs again with a smile and I turn back to Zulayha. "I'm going because I don't want to keep the staff waiting and Mama forced me into this" I say sternly and she only rolled her eyes with a nod of her head. I glare at my friends both and they burst into a fit of laughter while I make my way to the sauna rooms.

Excruciating hours later, I'm finally done with the torture mother dearest made me go through. 'You need your skin to glow for this meeting' Mama said when I objected going to the spa. 'I'm not even sure he's going to notice any changes from the last time we met' I whined but Mama wasn't having it and I ended up going. That woman even made me sew a new clothe for this. I was waiting for her to call a make up artist but thank goodness it didn't reach that far.

Haleema dropped me home after we're done with the spa because she drove us there.

"Masha Allah at least you now look a little presentable, go and have a nice bubble bath, do a nice makeup and put on the new clothes." "Is it the wedding already? Stop making her go through so much" Ya Imran who is watching a football match with Nafisa came to my rescue. "I need to make her look beautiful Imran, she needs to captivate him" Mama argues. "His loss if he can't like her the way she is"  He shrugs and Mama laughed lightly. "You won't understand because you have it all" she says and ouch! That hurts. He opened his mouth to talk but I only shot him a thankful smile before turning to make my way upstairs. I'll do what she wants even if she doesn't fuss about it but she just like to embarrass me, she loves the drama that comes with it.

It's past Asr, and Tafida is going to be here any minute from now, Mama must be freaking out and it's a wonder she's not here to check up on me yet. I crouched to pat down Lulu's head. "Wish mommy good luck Lulu, we're embarking on a risky mission" I whispered and I could swear she gave me the bombastic side eye. Like the 'what are you saying bro' look and I chuckled before rising to my full length.

"Assalamu alaikum" one of our maids open the door. "Walalaikumussalam" I answer." Anty wai inji Hajiya ki saqqo kin yi baqo" she says. "Ina zuwa" I nod and she smiles before exiting the room. I glanced at my self from the mirror across and sighed. Let's go and get this over with already.

"You're back Tafida" I say as I enter the living room. "Figured you might miss me Sa'adah. So here I am, miss me?" He raised a brow with a smug smile on his face and I scoff. "This obsessed with me you had to be back weeks later, I'll say you more than missed me" I want to raise a single brow like he does to add more spice to my sassiness but ended up raising both because it's all I could do. "Ah there's that ego I like" he nods with a smile.

"So, let's not beat around the bush Tafida, say no to the wedding" I say immediately I got seated. "You can say so, I'm sure your parents will give you the option to choose whether you want this or not" He replies and I couldn't help but laugh. "Now that's where you're wrong, Mama didn't leave me with an option, I'm going to be disowned if I say no, so yeah, it's more of a forced than an arranged marriage" I explain.

"Interesting, my father is hellbent on getting us married too. 'Tana da tarbiyya, I know her father, you will get married to the girl Na'eem sai dai in ita taqi Ka' he  quotes his father then lean back waiting to hear what I have to say. "Shit, your father said that?" I ask with a sigh and he nods.
