Now let's begin!

Felix

I'm bursting through the hospital doors. The anger I felt earlier has dissipated. I'm feeling nervous, reckless and wild. The girl that holds every ounce of me is in a hospital bed and awake. I wasn't there for her. I wasn't the first one she spoke to. Or maybe it's because Adrien said something that made me think what the actual fuck?

I couldn't believe him. I wouldn't until I saw her face to face. Until I confirm those honey brown eyes are open. That she's the girl I've tried to stray away from. She's the magnet.

So I'm running into the room, when I see at least two nurses, a doctor, Marinette, Lexi and Aero. I stop and see Marinette, Lexi and Aero staring back at me. I can't see Kagami due to the doctor, nurses that are surrounding her.

I take in a small breath and walk over towards them at the far end of the bed. They all seem to be waiting. Lexi walks over to me first and I head straight for her.

"What happened? What do you know?" I whisper.

"Nothing yet, I just got here five minutes ago. The doctor and nurses were already here with her. Marinette wouldn't tell me anything." She shrugged and looked back to see Aero and Marinette.

"Well, you're useless." I sigh and walk over to Marinette.

Her eyes are wide, her arms are crossed and she's looking down at the tiled floors. She seems to be deep in thought. My hand covers her shoulder and it brings her out of whatever trance she's in.

"Felix." She hugs me and I stiffen.

My hands stay elevated in the air and I look over to anyone for help. I'm not that close to Marinette and I don't like this display of affection from her. Plus, I don't want Kagami to get the wrong idea. I'm here for her, not for Marinette.

My hands gently push Marinette off me by her shoulders. She stares at me with a worried look and I can't help the sinking feeling in my stomach.

"They just let us back in. I'm glad you're here, even though she didn't want to see you." Her lips move and her eyes start to tear up. "I thought I heard wrong, but-" she looked away.

The words keep spilling out of her lips and I can't seem to understand. Marinette is trying her best to stay coherent, but it doesn't help. She keeps repeating the same words over. She keeps telling me that Kagami doesn't want anything to do with me. She keeps telling me that the girl I love doesn't want me.

That's when what Adrien had said pops into my mind.

She doesn't seem like herself.

Marinette continues to apologize. She keeps consoling me about how Kagami isn't in her right mind. She's not herself.

She said she doesn't want to see you.

My whole body went cold from those eight words, but I needed to hear it myself. I needed to hear why she didn't want to see me.

"I'll only speak until my mother is here." Kagami's voice speaks up and I feel a thrill throughout each bone in my body.

"I'm sorry Ms. Tsurugi, but we need to gather as much information as we ca-" One of the police officers said. Wait, when did they get here?
