Okay let's get started!

***

Alyssa

My day had started with my mom sending me to go get a few things in town. Groceries, new towels and something called a Cie de Peau Beaute. It's a certain type of foundation. However, the last thing on the list was one that I've dreaded the most. I had to go speak with my coach at the ice rink in regards to my ice skating lessons.

My mother didn't want me to miss an opportunity in the states and I need to get an "all clear" from my coach here in order to go. Which means, I had to drop off all the errands that I did back at home and spend the rest of my time at the ice rink.

That doesn't sound so bad, right?

Wrong.

It's the worst thing I could ever do alone.

Because then I see him. I see the person who almost-

"Alyssa?" My body goes cold and rigid at the sound of his voice. My mind takes me back to all those nights before. The waking up shaking, screaming, wishing that I was dreaming it all. Wishing for it to go away. For those eyes of his to disappear.

But they don't and I remember everything.

"Alyssa!" He calls out.

Something, anything could swallow me right now. Or turning into a cloud of smoke would help. Maybe the noise from other cars could drown out his voice and I could pretend it was just my imagination. All I know is if I stay here he'll catch up to me.

So I keep on walking. Actually, I practically sprint into the building.

My breathing begins to quicken, my hands feel sweaty and I can feel my body start to tremble. I wanted to avoid going here. I wanted to avoid being alone with him. That's all I wanted. I closed my eyes as I begin to pull open the second set of doors.

The day Kagami and I had our reign check, was one of the worst days I could've imagined. Kagami was talking to him. She was genuinely speaking with that boy. That monster. That sorry excuse of a human being.

Though she didn't look comfortable and I wanted more than anything to rip her away from him, but my legs skated me away. My body rejected my heroic attitude and made me leave. Because I wanted him to be vapor.

My fingers clench around the door tighter as I curse myself for running towards the building.

I should've just gone back to my car, I should've driven home, I should've done a number of things. But my whole thought process went out the door.

A hand grabs a hold of me before I enter the second set of doors. I'm frozen. Stuck in the cement. My whole body is shaking tremendously. I feel tears prick my eyes and breathe in.

He can't hurt you here.

He can't hurt you here.

He can't hurt you.

"Alyssa, didn't you hear me?" Logan moves in front of the doors to the outside. He sounds confused, but none of that reaches his eyes. His eyes are staring at me with indifference.
