Mandalore. Why did things always come back around to Mandalore? She had gotten a worried call from Kenobi about Wynn and her being kidnapped along with Satine's nephew. That was definitely urgent.

She walked the halls of the Kryze Palace, hands within her sleeves to hide her fidgeting fingers. It had been a while since she had seen both Kenobi and Satine together in the same place. Steeling herself for the worst, Shaak Ti stopped in front of the doors to the throne room where guards waited. They opened the door and Shaak Ti glided in.

"Shaak," she heard Kenobi say as footsteps clicked ahead of her. He quickly paced over, standing in front of her. His eyes met hers and she saw the pain and hurt inside. "It's good to see you."

Shaak Ti looked up at Satine on the throne who seemed to be quiet and shocked at Kenobi's pace across the room. To be fair, so was Shaak Ti. "It's good to see you, too."

Kenobi stood there for a moment, before cautiously leaning in for a hug which Shaak Ti froze under. What had gotten into him? And in front of Satine?

"We will find her soon," Shaak Ti whispered, pulling away from the embrace.

Kenobi scratched at his beard, nodding slowly though his eyes remained distant. "To think I could have stopped this if I hadn't been so distracted."

Distracted with a woman no doubt. Shaak Ti nodded, fixing her eyes on Satine. She must also be grieving. Shaak Ti walked over to her and up the steps. "How are you faring, Duchess?"

Satine clenched her jaw, nodding. "I will be better once Korkie is found."

Shaak Ti grimaced at the mention of his name. She had heard rumors that people thought Korkie was the secret son of the Duchess and someone else. The someone else was probably Kenobi. Around the time the boy had been born was around the time Kenobi and Satine had gone into hiding.

"We will find him," Shaak Ti said, crossing her arms over her chest. "And Wynn."

Satine's wall lowered for a moment. "When Korkie was born, I remember being so excited." She had a hard smile planted on her thin lips. "But then, the palace was under attack." She gulped, a grimace entering her expression. "Aran died protecting Cynth and Obi and I barely had time to grab him before we had to hide." Tears welled in Satine's eyes. "I lost my sister that day."

"I am so sorry," Shaak Ti whispered. This was all mews to her. The Mandalorians had always been secretive about their culture, their people, and even their royal family. Most off-worlders didn't know much about anyone. She hadn't realized Satine had siblings.

"I may have lost my sister then, but I will not lose Korkie."

Shaak Ti's heart fell. Korkie was all Satine had left. Korkie and Obi-Wan. Placing a hand on the duchess's shoulder, Shaak Ti gave her a firm nod. "We will find them. Don't worry."
