Funny has a sensory overload, leading to a mysticoutburst. And Daisy helps calm him down.
-------------------------------------------------------------The gang was at a festival in Hot Dog Hills, and they brought Funny along with them. Funny hasn't been to a festival before, and he was excited for all the fun things. But once they got there, he got a bit anxious when he saw all the people there.
"Are you ready to go, Funny?" Mickey asked.
"I think so. There are so many people here." He said.
"It'll be so much fun. Come on, let's go." Donald said.
Funny poofed into his human form and went with the gang to the heart of the festival. It was loud, and Funny was starting to feel uncomfortable. But he knew that if it got too much, then he'll take his cochlears off. After being there for a bit, he started to get uncomfortable.
"I'm going to check the food cart over there." He said, trying to leave. Daisy grabbed his hand, making his heart drop.
"Please stay, Funny. The best part is coming." Daisy said. "We can check it out after."
"Well, ok." He said, unsure.
He started to scratch his palm. One thing he hasn't told the gang was that he was autistic and that he struggled with being in crowded places a lot. It started to get too loud, so he took out his implants. He felt a bit better, but soon after, he felt the vibrations and the smells. The flashing lights and the feeling of the bracelets on his hands were too much.
He started to breathe faster, and marking began to appear on his hands. He knew that an outburst was coming. Without saying a word, he ran away from the gang and made his way to a private area to have the outburst. Daisy saw this and ran after him. He ran to an ally way and sat on the ground. The outburst started, but it wasn't like any other outburst.
He was aware of everything around him even though his eyes and his hair were glowing, but he wasn't floating. The things in the alley were floating around him. He tried to focus on calming down, but it wasn't working.
"OK, Funny. Breathe in and breathe out. In and out." He breathed. He flapped his hands and rocked back and forth, trying to calm down.
Meanwhile, Daisy was still trying to find him. She lost sight of him while she was trying to find her way out of the crowd.
"Funny! Funny! Where are you?" She called out. She saw the alley way, and saw Funny trying to calm himself down.
"Breathe, breathe, breathe Funneillious, breathe." Funny said to himself.
Daisy walked to him and kneeled down in front of him.
"Funny. It's Daisy. Take a deep breath and count to ten with me." She said in a soft tone.
Funny looked at her with glowing green eyes and knodded. They both counted to ten, and after a few more deep breaths, things started to float back to the ground. Funny took one more deep breath, and he stopped glowing all together.
"Funny, what's wrong. Are you alright?" Daisy asked.
"Yes, I'm fine. Thanks, Daisy." He said.
"You only have outbursts if you get really overwhelmed. Is something wrong?" She asked.
Funny told her everything, from his autism to the loud sounds. And the vibrations to the feelings. It was too much for him.
"Funny, I'm sorry. We didn't mean to cause this." She said.
"No, I'm sorry. I didn't tell you that I was autistic and I didn't tell you that I was going to have an outburst. I should've said something." He said.
"It's alright. I'm just glad you're OK." Daisy said.
"We should get going. Our friends might be wondering where we are." Funny said as he got up from the floor.
They made their way back to the gang, but they didn't even know they were gone. Daisy pulled out a fidget toy and gave it to Funny, who thanked her. Sure, he didn't tell the rest of the gang that he was autistic, but he now knew that if he needed any help relating to that, he could always count on Daisy.
