Taehyung stood in front of the mirror, holding up different shirts, his face scrunched in concentration as he debated what to wear. His phone rested on his desk, propped up against a book, showing Jimin on a video call.

“Taehyung, no, not that one,” Jimin groaned.

“It’s too casual for a hangout with Jeon Jungkook. You need to step it up a little. How about the black button-up? It’s classy but still chill.”

Taehyung sighed, throwing the previous shirt on his bed. “Are you sure? I don’t want to look like I’m trying too hard.”

Jimin raised an eyebrow. “Trying too hard? Have you seen the way Jungkook dresses? He’s going to show up looking all fucking handsome, so you have to match that vibe!”

Just as Taehyung was about to respond, his phone buzzed with a message. He glanced down, and his heart skipped a beat when he saw Jungkook’s name flash on the screen.

"Be ready by 2, I'll pick you up, princess."

Taehyung felt his face heat up, and he bit his lip, trying to suppress the fluttering feeling in his stomach.

Jimin noticed the change in his expression immediately and raised an eyebrow.

“What’s that smile for?” Jimin teased, leaning closer to the screen.

Taehyung quickly locked his phone, brushing off the question. “Nothing, nothing. Just... Jungkook said he’ll pick me up at 2.”

Jimin smirked knowingly. “See? That’s why you need to look perfect. This isn’t just a casual hangout, Taehyung. It’s practically a date.”

Taehyung rolled his eyes, though his blush deepened. “It’s not a date. He specifically said it wasn’t.”

Jimin waved him off. “Yeah, but with the way he’s been acting? Trust me, it’s a date in his mind. Now, try on the black shirt.”

Taehyung reluctantly slipped on the black button-up Jimin had suggested, looking at himself in the mirror. It fit him well, hugging his slim frame in just the right way.

Jimin grinned through the phone. “There you go! You look amazing. Jungkook’s going to lose it when he sees you.”

Taehyung nervously adjusted the collar. “Do you really think so?”

Jimin nodded confidently. “Absolutely. Now stop worrying and just enjoy yourself.”

By the time 2 o’clock rolled around, Taehyung was fully dressed, his hair styled neatly. He stood by the window, his heart racing with anticipation as he waited for Jungkook to arrive.

A few minutes later, his phone buzzed again with another message from Jungkook:

"I'm outside, princess."

Taking a deep breath, Taehyung grabbed his things and headed out, ready to spend the day with Jungkook.

As Taehyung settled into Jungkook’s sleek car, he couldn’t help but feel a little nervous.

The excitement was bubbling up in his chest, but he kept his composure as he glanced over at Jungkook, who looked effortlessly cool in the driver’s seat. The car hummed quietly as they drove to the arcade, a comfortable silence between them.

Once they arrived, they stepped into the brightly lit arcade, immediately greeted by the flashing lights and the cheerful sound of games beeping and buzzing.

Jungkook, grinning, led Taehyung over to a racing game, and they both took their seats behind the steering wheels.

"Ready to lose, Kim?" Jungkook teased, his fingers flexing over the controls.
