Miles away in Daegu, Jungkook walked slowly through the peaceful cemetery, a bouquet of white lilies in his hand.
His footsteps were heavy as he made his way towards an unfamiliar grave, her name etched in stone—bringing a lump to his throat, but he forced himself to sit down beside it, setting down the bouquet of flowers he had brought.
He stayed silent for a few moments, just staring at the headstone. Finally, he took a deep breath and spoke softly, "Hi, angel… how are you? I hope you’re happy there."
Jungkook swallowed hard, his voice full of guilt. "I’m so sorry. I haven’t visited in almost .... three damn years. I just… I didn’t have the guts to come here. I couldn’t... face it. But I should have. You deserved better than me staying away this long." His voice cracked, eyes glistening with unshed tears. "I’m sorry."
His voice cracked slightly, and he swallowed hard. He rubbed his eyes before continuing, "I, uh… I came to talk to you because... well, I don’t know. I guess... I just wanted to tell you... everything."
He paused, glancing down at the ground before his lips quirked up into a sad smile. "There’s this boy in university…... Taehyung is his name."
He let out a small laugh, thinking back to the moments they had shared. "You’d like him. He’s... so different. So bright. At first, I thought... I was drawn to him because he reminded me of you, but...... he’s not like you at all."
Jungkook exhaled, running a hand through his hair as he tried to gather his thoughts.
"He’s... he's so cute. I mean you're cute too I swear... but I don't know... He makes me laugh, makes me feel... alive again, I guess. I thought that after you, I couldn’t love... anyone else. That no one could ever mean as much to me as you did. But Taehyung...... he’s just.... uhh ..... Taehyung? He makes me feel things.. I didn’t think I could feel anymore."
He paused, his hands clenching slightly as he felt the guilt rise in his chest. "I know I shouldn’t be saying this to you, angel, but..... I... I love him. I’m so sorry, but I do. He makes me happy, and..... I think I need to... move on."
"I want to be happy now." Jungkook said, his voice thick with emotion. "And Yoongi hyung... he says you would have wanted that too. That my happiness matters, and right now, my happiness... it's Taehyung."
Jungkook’s voice wavered, and he closed his eyes, willing the tears to stay at bay. "I hurt him, though. I messed everything up, and I don’t know if... I can fix it. But I have to try. I have to make things right because... I love him. I can't imagine myself losing him too.
He sat there for a long moment, the silence of the cemetery wrapping around him like a shroud. He sighed deeply, his heart heavy but determined.
"I hope you’re not mad at me for... loving him. I’ll never forget you. I’ll always carry you with me, but... it’s time for me to... finally let go."
Jungkook pressed his lips together, reaching out to gently touch the headstone. "Thank you for everything, angel. For loving me, for... being there when I needed you. I’ll always be grateful. But I have to move forward now. I hope you understand."
He stayed for a few more minutes, lost in thought, before finally standing up. He looked down at the grave one last time, whispering, "Goodbye, angel. I hope you’re at peace."
With a heavy heart but a newfound resolve, Jungkook turned and left the cemetery, the weight of the past still lingering but a new path slowly forming ahead of him.

As Taehyung walked through the university hallway, he noticed someone approaching him from the side. It was Chris, his usual confident smirk plastered on his face.
