Now, in the privacy of his bedroom, Jungkook found himself staring blankly at the corner of the room. His attention was divided between his wandering thoughts and Yoongi, who was currently lecturing him with an intensity that could rival a university professor.

Yoongi paced back and forth, his frustration evident. “Jungkook, this is seriously messed up. You can’t just accept a dare like that. It’s not some casual thing!”

Jungkook, still distracted, shrugged nonchalantly. “Hyung, come on. It’s just a dare. I’m not actually going to make him fall in love with me or anything. It’s just a game.”

“Are you even listening to me?” Yoongi snapped, his tone a mix of exasperation and concern. “This is a big deal. You don’t know what you’re getting into.”

Jungkook, trying to lighten the mood, grinned and said, “Yeah, yeah, I’m listening."

"And speaking of listening, I couldn’t help but notice how you kept glancing at Jimin at the party. Are you sure you’re not the one who’s actually in love?”

Yoongi’s face flushed, and he stopped pacing, glaring at Jungkook. “Shut up, you idiot. I wasn’t ‘glancing’ at him. I was just... paying attention, alright?”

Jungkook’s smirk widened as he leaned back against his bed. “Sure, sure. Paying attention. Just admit it, you’ve got a soft spot for the little guy.”

Yoongi rolled his eyes, but the corner of his mouth twitched in amusement. “Whatever. Just do whatever you want with that stupid dare. But don’t come crying to me if things go sideways. I’m not backing you up on this.”

“Got it, hyung,” Jungkook said with a dismissive wave. “I’ll handle it. But seriously, thanks for the concern. I’ll try not to make a mess of things.”

Yoongi huffed and shook his head, still grumbling under his breath. “You better. And stop with the jokes about Jimin. It’s not funny.”

Jungkook chuckled and watched as Yoongi left the room, still shaking his head.

Alone, Jungkook’s thoughts turned back to the dare, the challenge it presented, and the enigmatic Taehyung. He knew he had to tread carefully but couldn’t shake the excitement and curiosity about the whole situation.

Jungkook was on his way back to his dorm, still mulling over the conversation with Yoongi, when he spotted Namjoon racing down the hallway.

Namjoon skidded to a halt upon seeing Jungkook, relief evident on his face.

“Jungkook!” Namjoon gasped, clutching his chest as if he’d just narrowly escaped a catastrophe.

“Thank god you’re here. Please, return these books to the library for me. I’m running late for class!”

Without waiting for a response, Namjoon thrust a stack of books into Jungkook’s hands and bolted off down the hall, leaving Jungkook standing there, bemused.

“Seriously, what just happened?” Jungkook muttered, shaking his head as he glanced at the books.

With a resigned sigh, he headed towards the library, muttering a curse under his breath. “Fuck, this is not how I planned to spend my day.”

Upon entering the library, Jungkook’s bunny teeth flashed in a casual grin as he approached the desk to return the books.

The librarian gave him a nod of acknowledgment, and Jungkook turned to leave.

Just as he was about to walk out, his eyes caught sight of a familiar figure seated in the farthest corner of the library. Him.

Taehyung was engrossed in a stack of textbooks, oblivious to the world around him. The sight sparked a mischievous glint in Jungkook’s eyes.

He approached Taehyung with a casual air, leaning against the bookshelf.

"Well, well, if it isn't Kim Taehyung in his natural habitat. Studying away, I see."

Taehyung glanced up from his book, his eyes meeting Jungkook's with a hint of surprise. He raised an eyebrow, unimpressed by Jungkook's approach.

"Jeon. What are you doing here?"

Jungkook feigned a look of mock shock, taking a seat across from Taehyung.

"Returning some books for a friend. But now that I'm here, I couldn't help but notice the mysterious Kim Taehyung, deep in thought. We haven’t had the chance to properly meet, have we?"

Taehyung's expression remained neutral, his voice steady. "No, we haven’t. Is there something you need?"

Jungkook chuckled, leaning in slightly, his voice low and teasing. "Just thought I'd introduce myself. You know, since we keep bumping into each other. And I figured, why not make it a bit more interesting?"

Taehyung's gaze remained cool, though his curiosity was piqued. "Interesting how?"

Jungkook’s smirk turned into a playful grin. "Well, I’m sure you’ve heard about me. And I’ve definitely heard about you. It’s only fair we get to know each other a bit better."

Taehyung closed his book, setting it aside as he studied Jungkook. "And why would I want to get to know you better, Jeon?"

Jungkook’s grin widened, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Maybe because I’m the kind of guy who’s hard to ignore. And from what I’ve seen, you don’t really mind a bit of excitement, do you?"

Taehyung’s expression was a mix of annoyance and intrigue, his tone remaining icy. "I don’t see how that’s any of my concern."

Jungkook leaned back, his smirk never faltering. "Fair enough. Just thought I’d put it out there. If you ever change your mind about wanting a bit of excitement, you know where to find me."

As Jungkook walked away, he felt a surge of satisfaction, already thinking about how he’d proceed with his plan.

Meanwhile, Taehyung, though irritated, found himself curiously contemplating Jungkook’s parting words.

Both of them couldn’t shake the intense dislike they felt for each other, even though they couldn’t quite pinpoint the exact reason.

For Jungkook, it was the way Taehyung’s face reminded him of her, a painful memory he tried to push away.

Taehyung, on the other hand, felt a deep-seated annoyance that seemed to stem from their unspoken tension.

As Taehyung watched Jungkook leave, he couldn't help but feel a mix of irritation and curiosity.
