The café’s bell chimed, drawing Jimin’s attention away from the counter. As he turned, his eyes widened in surprise when he saw Jungkook walk through the door.
Jungkook, ever the picture of nonchalance, approached the counter with a confident stride. His gaze scanned the café, landing on Jimin with a knowing smile.
“Hey, Jimin,” he greeted politely, though his eyes were already scanning the room for Taehyung.
Jimin forced a smile, trying to mask his irritation. “Hey, Jungkook. What can I get for you?”
Jungkook leaned on the counter, his smirk never fading. “I’ll have a coffee, thanks. And I insist that Kim is the one to serve it.”
Jimin raised an eyebrow but nodded, noting the deliberate choice of words. “Sure. I’ll make sure he knows.”
Jungkook took a seat where he had a clear view of Taehyung behind the counter, a playful glint in his eyes. He watched as Taehyung went about making coffee, completely unaware of Jungkook’s presence.
A few moments later, Taehyung approached Jungkook’s table with a cup of coffee, his face reflecting his surprise. “You’re here?” he asked, his tone a mix of disbelief and irritation.
Jungkook looked up with a charming grin. “Surprised to see me? I’m just here for a coffee, but it seems like the universe had other plans.”
Taehyung set the cup down with a faint frown. “I didn’t expect to run into you here. What’s your excuse for showing up?”
Jungkook’s eyes sparkled with mischief. “Just thought I’d explore the place Yoongi was raving about. And it turns out, it’s even better with you around.”
Taehyung raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed. “You’re really pushing it, Jeon.”
Jungkook leaned back in his chair, still grinning. “Oh, come on. Don’t act like you’re not enjoying the company.”
Taehyung’s expression remained cold, though a faint hint of annoyance. “I’m just here to work. I don’t need any extra distractions.”
Jungkook’s gaze lingered on Taehyung, his smile widening. “Extra distractions? I’m just here to brighten up your day. You should be thanking me.”
Taehyung crossed his arms, trying to maintain his aloof demeanor. “I don’t need brightening up, thanks. I’d prefer it if you just enjoyed your coffee and left.”
Jungkook chuckled, clearly enjoying the banter. “Where’s the fun in that? Besides, I thought we had a little unfinished business.”
Taehyung’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Unfinished business? I don’t recall anything of the sort.”
Jungkook leaned forward, lowering his voice to a more teasing tone. “Oh, I’m sure you do. Just playing a little game.”
Taehyung tried to ignore the flutter of irritation mixed with curiosity. “Well, this isn’t the time or place for your games, Jeon.”
Jungkook winked, clearly unfazed by Taehyung’s cold demeanor. “Fair enough. But I’ll be around. Can’t have too much fun without me, right?”
Taehyung shook his head, turning to head back to the counter. “Whatever you say.”
As Taehyung walked away, Jungkook’s gaze followed him with an amused glint in his eyes. He seemed to savor the playful tension between them, fully intending to stir things up again in the future.

Jungkook and Yoongi walked into the café once again, the familiar chime of the door announcing their arrival.
The café had become Jungkook's second home over the past couple of months, though his visits always seemed to revolve around Taehyung.
This time, Yoongi was with him, and Jungkook’s eyes quickly found Taehyung behind the counter, who was busy preparing drinks.
Yoongi, sensing Jungkook’s gaze fixed on Taehyung, sighed and decided to address the matter.
“Jungkook, don’t you think you’re putting in a bit too much effort for just a dare? This isn’t like you.”
Jungkook shrugged nonchalantly, a smirk playing on his lips. “I never lose, hyung. I’m so close to breaking Kim’s shell. Once I do, I promise I won’t push it further.”
Yoongi raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed. “You know, this obsession isn’t good for you. It’s not just about winning the dare. You’re getting too involved.”
Jungkook waved off Yoongi’s concern. “Come on, hyung. It’s all in good fun. I’m not doing anything harmful. Besides, it’s just a matter of time before I get through to him.”
Yoongi shook his head, glancing over at Jimin, who was approaching with a smile and a fresh cup of coffee.
Jimin and Yoongi had developed a friendly rapport since their last encounter. Their shared moments had turned into easy conversations, phone calls, and smiles in the hallway. They both knew there was a mutual liking between them, and they were content to see where things went.
Jimin placed the coffee on the table in front of Yoongi. “Here you go, Yoongi.”
Yoongi returned the smile. “Thanks, Jimin. How’s everything going?”
Jimin’s cheeks flushed slightly as he leaned against the counter. “Good. Just keeping busy. I didn’t expect you guys again so soon.”
Yoongi chuckled. “You know Jungkook. Once he’s set on something, he’s hard to sway.”
Jimin’s curiosity was piqued. " What you are talking about?”
Yoongi quickly sensing Jimin’s concern. “It’s nothing, Jimin. Don’t worry about it.”
Jimin looked between Yoongi and Jungkook, still feeling uneasy but deciding to let it go. “Alright. I’ll try not to think too much about it.”
Yoongi gave Jimin a reassuring smile. “Yeah, don’t let it bother you. Just enjoy your time.”
As Jimin settled down beside Yoongi, their conversation flowed easily, though Jimin’s wariness about Jungkook lingered in the back of his mind.
Despite the underlying tension, Jimin enjoyed his time with Yoongi, their mutual liking evident in the ease of their interactions.
Jungkook, on the other hand, continued to watch Taehyung with a mix of amusement and determination.
His flirtatious demeanor remained intact, though he was careful not to push too hard, mindful of Yoongi’s advice.
