Taehyung and Jimin strolled toward the cafeteria, Taehyung practically bouncing on his feet, his eyes gleaming with excitement.

He had been telling Jimin about the date he had with Jungkook all morning, and even though it was probably the hundredth time, Taehyung spoke with the same enthusiasm as if it had just happened.

“And then, when he kissed me, Jimin, oh my God, I swear, my knees almost gave out! He pulled me close, his hand on my waist, and his lips... I’ve never felt anything like that,” Taehyung gushed, his hands gesturing dramatically as he described the moment.

Jimin’s grin widened as he listened, absolutely overjoyed for his best friend. “I can’t believe this is the same Taehyung who said he didn’t believe in love!” he teased, nudging Taehyung playfully. “Look at you now, all smitten and stuff.”

“I know, right?” Taehyung giggled, his cheeks glowing with happiness. “But Jungkook... he’s just... so soft. The way he looked at me, held me... I can’t stop thinking about it.”

Jimin laughed, delighted by Taehyung’s giddiness, as they entered the cafeteria and spotted their usual table where Namjoon, Yoongi, and Hoseok were already seated, chatting amongst themselves.

Taehyung glanced around, searching for one particular face. “Where’s Jungkook?” he asked, trying to sound casual, but the eagerness in his voice gave him away.

The guys exchanged knowing smirks before Hoseok pouted dramatically. “Aww, Taehyung, we’re here too, you know. Don’t we get a hello first?”

Yoongi chuckled, leaning back in his seat. “Yeah, don’t we matter anymore, Tae?”

Taehyung flushed, rubbing the back of his neck, “Of course you guys matter, but...”

Before he could finish, Jungkook appeared from behind, sliding into the seat next to Taehyung effortlessly, as if that spot belonged to him and only him.

Taehyung froze, his mind immediately flashing back to the kiss they had shared the previous night. His face turned a soft shade of pink, memories flooding his senses.

“Hey,” Jungkook greeted, his voice as smooth as ever, sending shivers down Taehyung’s spine. Without missing a beat, Jungkook rested his hand on Taehyung’s thigh under the table, his touch familiar and possessive.

Taehyung’s breath hitched, but he didn’t dare move. Instead, he bit his lip, trying to focus on the conversation, but it was impossible to ignore the warmth of Jungkook’s hand, as if it had always belonged there.

Jungkook smirked, noticing Taehyung’s flustered state, but said nothing, casually engaging with the others about their plans for the day.

Later, after lunch, Taehyung excused himself, heading toward the library to get some studying done.

However, as he walked through the corridor, he sensed someone following him. Glancing over his shoulder, he spotted Jungkook trailing behind.

Taehyung turned around, feeling the heat rise in his cheeks. “W-What are you doing? Don’t you have classes to attend?”

Jungkook shrugged, his gaze unwavering as he closed the distance between them. “I don’t feel like going to class today. I’d rather spend time with you.”

Taehyung’s heart fluttered. “You’re skipping class... to be with me?” he asked shyly, the idea both thrilling and terrifying.

“Yeah,” Jungkook said, his voice low and sultry. “Do you want me to go back?”

Taehyung’s lips quirked into a smile. “No,” he admitted softly, and with that, they both headed into the library together.

Taehyung picked a table in a quiet corner, pulling out his textbooks and notebook to start studying.

Jungkook, however, had no intention of studying. He slid into the seat beside Taehyung and rested his chin on his palm, his eyes never leaving Taehyung’s face.

Taehyung could feel Jungkook’s gaze on him, a slow burn that made it hard to concentrate. After a few minutes of trying to focus, he finally looked up, his brow raised.

“Why are you staring at me like that?” he asked, flustered but amused.

Jungkook’s lips curled into a teasing smile. “Because I want to,” he said simply. “Got a problem with that?”

Taehyung’s heart did a flip, and he chuckled softly, shaking his head. “No,” he repeated, unable to hide his smile.

The minutes passed quietly, the atmosphere comfortable between them. Taehyung managed to get a bit of studying done, though it was hard with Jungkook looking at him like that.

Just as Taehyung was starting to relax into the moment, Jungkook’s phone buzzed.

Jungkook sighed, glancing at the screen briefly. “Okay, princess, I’ve gotta go,” he said, his tone regretful.

Taehyung barely had time to process Jungkook’s words before Jungkook leaned in and pecked his cheek quickly, the kiss light and soft.

“See you later,” he whispered against Taehyung’s skin, his warm breath sending a shiver down Taehyung’s spine.

Taehyung blinked, his hand flying up to his cheek as Jungkook stood up and walked out of the library, leaving him sitting there, completely flustered.

His heart raced as his fingers brushed the spot where Jungkook had kissed him, his mind spinning.

The warmth of Jungkook’s lips lingered on his skin, and Taehyung sat there, his thoughts consumed by the boy who had somehow become the center of his universe.
