Finally, after a month of intense training, it was time for the last volleyball match of the year.
Jungkook strutted onto the court with his team, the cheers of the crowd echoing around him like a symphony of excitement.
His eyes quickly scanned the arena, and a wide grin spread across his face when he spotted his boyfriend, Taehyung, right at the center with the ever-cheerful Jimin by his side.
Taehyung was holding up a banner that read, "My boyfriend spikes harder than my heart!" Jungkook couldn't help but chuckle at the playful jab.
He quickly waved at Taehyung, who beamed back, waving the poster with pride.
Jungkook then made a playful gesture, pointing two fingers at his eyes and then at Taehyung, a cheeky way of saying, "Watch me crush this!"
As the game began, the atmosphere electrified with energy. Jungkook, Hoseok, Namjoon, and Yoongi worked like a well-oiled machine, their synergy evident in every move.
Jungkook was on fire, leaping high and spiking the ball with such power that the opposing team barely stood a chance.
"Is it just me, or is Jungkook channeling a dragon right now?" Hoseok shouted, diving to save a ball that seemed impossible to reach.
"More like a cute dragon with a killer serve!" Namjoon quipped, grinning as he set up another perfect play for Jungkook.
Yoongi, ever the strategist, called out plays with a smirk. "Alright, boys, let's show them how it's done! Jungkook, aim for the cute guy in the front row!"
Jungkook laughed but took the challenge seriously, launching into an impressive jump serve that sent the ball flying over the net, landing perfectly in the opponent's court.
The crowd erupted in cheers, and Taehyung, with Jimin bouncing beside him, cheered the loudest.
"Go, Jungkook! You're killing it!" Taehyung shouted, waving his banner like a flag of victory.
With every point they scored, Jungkook's confidence soared, and by the end of the match, his team had crushed the opposition, winning in spectacular fashion.
The arena exploded with applause, and Jungkook looked up to see Taehyung's proud smile shining brighter than the lights above.
As the final whistle blew and the arena erupted in cheers, Jungkook felt a rush of adrenaline course through him.
He turned to the big screen, expecting to see footage of the team's celebration, but what he saw made his heart skip a beat.
His own jubilant face lit up the screen, shining with victory and joy, but just as he was about to bask in the glory of the moment, the screen split right down the middle.
On the left side, there was Jungkook- glistening with sweat from the match, still riding the high of their victory.
But on the right side of the screen was Taehyung, smiling like the sun, his face a radiant mix of pride and delight, framed by Jimin's enthusiastic bouncing beside him. And that's when the memories flooded back.
Jungkook felt an unmistakable wave of déjà vu wash over him. It was just like that other time, that fateful day when Taehyung had come to watch his match in the same arena.
He remembered how Taehyung had smiled at him then, a blend of encouragement and admiration, leaving him breathless.
But this time, it was different-this time, Taehyung wasn't just an enemy; he was Jungkook's boyfriend, his biggest supporter, celebrating his success with a joy that felt like it could light up the entire building.
