Taehyung stood in the cozy kitchen of his parent's home in Seoul, quietly stirring a pot of freshly brewed coffee on the stove.

The rich, warm aroma filled the room, making everything feel a little more like home.

Suddenly, strong arms slipped around his waist from behind, and a familiar weight pressed gently against his back.

Jungkook’s chin nestled comfortably on his shoulder, his breath warm against Taehyung’s neck.

Taehyung barely blinked, a small smile creeping onto his face; after all these years, Jungkook’s touch was as natural as breathing.

Jungkook nuzzled closer, pressing a lazy kiss to Taehyung's neck, which made Taehyung’s heart skip, just like it always did.

"Jungkook," Taehyung whispered with a chuckle, a bit of color rising to his cheeks. “Eomma and appa will see us.”

Jungkook grinned, tightening his hold. “Let them. They already know I’m incapable of keeping my hands off you.”

Taehyung swatted at Jungkook’s arm, but he couldn’t hide the soft laugh bubbling up. He leaned back into Jungkook’s embrace anyway.

“We’re in their kitchen, bun,” he said, a trace of shyness breaking through his words.

“And you’re in my arms,” Jungkook murmured against his neck. “So, I think I win.”

Before Taehyung could respond, a voice rang out behind them.

“Oh, seriously! Can you guys at least try not to be disgustingly cute for one second?” Tessa groaned, walking into the kitchen with an exaggerated cringe, though her grin gave her away.

“Get a fucking room, would you?”

Taehyung laughed, glancing back at her, while Jungkook rolled his eyes dramatically but didn’t make any move to let go.

“As if I didn’t catch you eating Sam’s face last night in the hallway,” Jungkook shot back smoothly, his smirk widening as Tessa’s face went pink.

She quickly looked down at her phone, tapping away as if she hadn’t heard him.

“Whatever, Jungkook,” she fired back, trying (and failing) to sound unaffected.

“Just get ready already! We’ll be late for my wedding if you keep clinging to Taehyung like a lovesick koala.”

Yes, you read it right.

Today was Tessa and Sam’s wedding, and it was honestly messing with Taehyung’s head.

His sister—the same one who used to hurl stuffed animals at him if he touched her makeup—was actually getting married.

Life had a funny way of speeding by, and it felt like someone hit fast-forward on his whole world.

In the past five years, so much had changed, yet so much stayed the same.

Jungkook had graduated, leaving Taehyung to finish his final year alone, but not really alone—because the day Jungkook bought his own apartment, he’d popped the question.

No, not that question, but the “Hey, move in with me, yeah?” kind of question.

Of course, Taehyung’s answer had been obvious—he could barely go a day without Jungkook, so they took the plunge.

They’d been living together ever since, filling that apartment with the chaos that was them, their ridiculous arguments, and their absurd amounts of affection.
