The soft music playing on the radio was the only thing that kept the drive to the Williams' house from being awkward. Kristen and Gabriel hadn't said a word to me, not that I wanted them to. I think it was their way of showing their disapproval. I shifted a bit in Penn's arms, trying to find comfort in them.

Suddenly we stopped in front of Penn's house.

Penn: Thanks for the ride, Mrs K and Mr G

Kristen: You're welcome honey. Thank you for everything

Penn: No probs. I'll call you?

She directed the question to me, but I was still stuck on the fact that she was leaving me.

Elodie: Y-yeah

Penn: Okay, Love you

Elodie: Love you

She planted a quick kiss on my forehead, before getting out of the vehicle and leaving me with the Williams. Gabriel ensured that she entered her house, before driving off to their house. I exhale a deep breath and stare out the window.

We finally arrived at the house and I immediately went to jog up the stairs to the room I was currently sleeping in.

Kristen: Elodie

I stopped in my tracks, listening to what she had to say

Kristen: Before you head up, we need to have a chat

I nod, before turning towards them.

Gabriel: Let's sit

Was this some kind of intervention? Cause I'm good. I sat across from them, impatiently waiting for the chat we needed to have.

Kristen: First off, Are you okay?

My eyes drop the floor, before meeting her eyes

Elodie: I'm good

Kristen: That's good. Now, Gabe and I were informed of your past. The sneaking out, the drugs, the boyfriend. However, we wanted to give you a fair chance, we decided to not judge you before getting to know you, so we allowed you to do whatever the hell you wanted. But this...this is something I've never experienced before, not with myself or Gabe or Elijah and I don't want to EVER experience this again.

Her voice matched her face- Stern.

Kristen: And by 'this' I mean trouble with the police. We have no idea what went on in that apartment, but Penn trusts you, she knows you and we trust Penn. But, I need to ensure that 'this' never happens again. Therefore, we will be taking your phone away-

Elodie: What?

Kristen: Don't interrupt me when I'm speaking. I said we're taking your phone away.

She repeated

Kristen: I have no idea if the attorney told you, but there is a restraining order placed on you. If you violate any of the terms of the restraining order, you will be immediately arrested.

Gabriel: The terms of the restraining order also includes house arrest, The monitor will only be placed on you at night for three weeks but an extra three weeks if violated.

What the fuck is going on.

Kristen: We've already searched your room and thrown away all the drugs you brought here.

Great.

Kristen: You WILL go to school and to your classes every day of the week. If there is word of you skipping classes or school entirely, we'll hold off on giving you your phone back and you will be doing community work on Saturdays. If we find out you're taking drugs, Marijuana, pills etc., we'll be sending you to a rehabilitation center.

Can she actually shut the fuck up? I laugh in my head.

Kristen: Church every Sunday at 8am, bible study at 8pm and your therapist sees you every Monday.

Therapist? Church?

Kristen: Is that all?

She asked Gabriel

Gabriel: Yes, my love

Kristen: Great. So no phones, no drugs, no sneaking out, no skipping classes. Good?

I nod

Kristen: Use your words

Elodie: Yes, that's perfect

Kristen: Good, we'll call on you when dinner's ready.

I jog to my room, rolling my eyes in irritation at Kristen's sudden 'mother' role. I scoff as I spread out my arms and legs on the bed, finally feeling the comfort of a soft, huge bed. Remind me to never go to prison again.
