Faye's POV
"Behave, you two."
That was P'Wanwan's constant reminder whenever we traveled to different countries or even just attended events and interviews. It was almost a mantra by now, a phrase we had grown used to hearing. Still, she was always supportive of us, no matter what we did-on or off camera. In fact, she and the other heads of our team were usually the first to tease us whenever they got the chance.
"We're behaving, mami," Yoko said with an innocent look, her eyes wide and pleading. I could tell from P'Wanwan's face that she wasn't buying it.
She sighed, softening as she spoke. "I'm not saying this as your CEO, but as your friend. You know how people can be. They can blow things out of proportion, especially now that you're getting more popular. Some people are just waiting for you to slip up so they can use it against you. That's the last thing I want for either of you."
Her words hit a soft spot in my heart, filling me with warmth. She always had our backs, ready to shield us from the harsh realities of the media's toxicity.
"We know, kha. Thank you, mami," Yoko responded with affection, wrapping her arms around P'Wanwan in a warm hug. And as always, where Yoko went, I followed. Without hesitation, I joined in, enveloping them both in a tight embrace, letting the warmth of our bond speak more than words ever could.
"Oi, we're being so dramatic!" P'Wan exclaimed, playfully swatting our arms away.
We settled into the lounge, where Yoko continued her teasing, her mischief lighting up the room. I couldn't help but laugh, joining in her playful antics as we conspired to annoy P'Wanwan a little more.
One of the things I loved most about Yoko-among a thousand reasons-was her ability to bring joy to everyone around her, myself included. She had a knack for awakening my inner child, making me feel more comfortable than I ever thought possible.
"Love, I'm hungry," she suddenly complained, tugging at my dress like a toddler demanding a snack. My adorable little hamster.
Unable to resist, I pinched her cheeks playfully before reaching into my bag and handing her a biscuit. Yoko's love for food was legendary, so I always made sure to pack snacks for her whenever we were out.
"You're the best!" she exclaimed, flashing a thumbs-up that made me smile and giggle along with her. Seeing her so happy made me want to spoil her even more. She deserved every good thing life had to offer, and I was more than willing to give her everything I could.
We were on our way back to Thailand after a fan meeting in Singapore. Meeting our "blankets"-our fans from all over the world-always filled me with excitement. Their unwavering support and patience, even from day one, was something I never took for granted. I promised myself to always give them the best performances I could, from the bottom of my heart.
"Where's Yo?" I asked Denise, suddenly noticing the empty space beside me.
"She's shopping. She told you earlier, remember?" Denise replied, a little confused. I blinked, realizing I had probably spaced out when Yoko mentioned it. How had I missed that?
"Right, I was out of it," I admitted sheepishly. Denise shook her head in disbelief before guiding me to where Yoko was.
We found her in a jewelry store, her eyes focused intently on a delicate necklace she was holding. She seemed completely absorbed in her decision.
"Have you picked one?" I whispered into her ear, slipping my arms around her waist from behind.
"I can't choose-they're both so cute," she pouted, and I couldn't help but giggle at her adorable frustration.
