I clutched Faye's hand tightly, willing her to sense my presence, to awaken from the abyss that had swallowed her. It had been nearly a month since she fell unconscious. The doctors had explained that the injuries from the attack had caused severe damage to her organs, complicating her recovery.

Her body fought to heal, but time stretched uncertainly before us. We waited, hoping for a sign that she would come back to us, praying for the day when she would open her eyes again.

"Mommy, you've been sleeping for so long. Don't follow the duration my character take to wake up in our series huh, you don't have an originality." I was talking to her everyday even joking around just to ease my anxiety that she won't make it.

"I love you so much, Faye. I was never truly angry at you, even before I knew the real reason behind your 'cheating.' I was more furious at myself for not being able to forget you. Thankfully, my stubborn heart stayed loyal to you. You really are a good thief, aren't you? You've stolen a piece of me."

Tears streamed down my face as I gently wiped hers. Even in this fragile state, she was still beautiful-it felt so unfair. I leaned forward and softly kissed her, savoring the bittersweet moment. This had become my routine every time I returned from work, a ritual of love and regret.

"I'll always be here, Faye," I whispered, my voice thick with emotion. "I won't let you suffer alone anymore."

I could vividly remember the doctor's words, the moment they emerged from the operating room.

"Family of faye peraya malison" i immediately rose up from a seat hearing that. "The patient is stable but during the surgery we discovered significant internal injuries: lacerations to her liver and spleen, two liters of blood in her abdominal cavity, and multiple bowel perforations. A brain CT scan, fortunately, showed no intracranial injuries. We just have to wait for her to gain consciousness, we're still uncertain of how long she will stay unconscious but will do further inspections and tests to make sure that her body was stable. All we can do right now is pray for her betterment."

That was the last words of the doctor who inspect faye, since then there was no signs of her waking up.

Her condition was critical but stable, and the doctors were closely monitoring her neurological status, providing all the supportive care they could.

I couldn't help crying sinking the reason behind this, she's really true to her words for keeping me safe no matter what it cause her, even her life.

"I hate you for loving me so fiercely," I whispered, my voice trembling. "Even Dad was shocked that you kept your vows so completely. You've already proven yourself, hmm? Please wake up now, Mommy. I miss your beautiful eyes, your laugh, your touch... I miss everything about you, love." Tears streamed down my face, unstoppable. I wanted to see her open her eyes so badly.

I hate the thought that continuously slips my mind. I can't lose her.

I can't.

I will make whoever was responsible for this pay for what they did to her. I'll make them rot in hell where they belong to.

I didn't realize I had fallen asleep while monitoring Faye's condition. As I woke, I immediately looked at the heart monitor, hoping for any sign of change, any hint of her regaining consciousness. But, as before, there was nothing.

A creak at the door caught my attention. A nurse entered, carrying medicines and other supplies for Faye's care.

"Any signs of unusual movements, miss?" she asked gently. I shook my head, sadness weighing heavily on my heart.

She proceeded to administer Faye's medications. I prepared her clothes, water, and a few bubbles to give her a dry bath. It reminded me of how she had cared for me in our series together, except this was real life, not just a drama.

I had grown accustomed to this routine, ensuring I was there every day to care for her. It was my way of making amends, of showing my love through these small gestures.

Over the past weeks, I focused on settling everything. I held several press conferences, informing the media about what had happened-from the beginning of the cheating allegations to the horrific incident at the event. Taking care of Faye and clearing her name had become my sole purpose, and I was determined to see it through.

As expected, there were a lot of violent reactions and differing opinions from fans, the media, and random individuals just wanting to join the bandwagon.

The issue became a full-blown controversy, shaking the entire internet and gathering sympathy, hatred, speculations, and more. In short, it was chaotic.

I also took care of everything regarding those demons responsible for committing such a crime. I personally visited Annika to deliver a soul-shattering slap.

"How could a person be as desperate as you?" I demanded.

She glared at me, her eyes filled with hatred mirroring my own. "I loved her first!"

"But she never returned your feelings. It was all one-sided. You loved her first, but she loved me the most. You met her first, but why did she choose me?" I said, giving her an insulting smirk.

She was about to attack me, but I didn't let her. I grabbed her hand, holding it firmly in place, and gave her another slap. She glared at me with a piercing look, but I didn't back down.

"It should be me! If it wasn't for you, Faye would be mine!" she screamed, her voice filled with desperation and rage.

"Oh really?" She's delusional!

"If someone truly wants to be yours, no matter how many temptations you put in front of them, they would never waver. Even before I came into the picture, Faye never showed any interest in you. She was never yours." I said this as calmly as possible, even though my anger was simmering just below the surface. I refused to give her the satisfaction of seeing any reaction from me.

"You bitch!" she screamed, like a madwoman losing her mind, throwing whatever she could find. "You can't have her! She will die. If I can't have her, no one will."

Her words rang in my ears. How could someone be so selfish?

"She won't die! I'll do everything in my power to save her. And as for you, I'll make sure you enjoy the rest of your life in your new found home. Rot in hell, bitch." Those were my final words before leaving her stunned. I was willing to pull any strings necessary to ensure she rots in the hell she deserves.

As for Killian and the guy who stabbed Faye, I made sure they got the worst prison cells. I would go to any lengths to make them suffer and pay for their crimes. They made Faye's life miserable, and I intended to give them the same medicine, with an extra dosage.

I wanted to settle everything before Faye woke up. I didn't want her to worry about anything anymore. She had done everything she could before, and now it was my turn to make things right.

"The only thing left for you to do is wake up, love. You've slept long enough. Your mom and the twins are waiting for you. We're all waiting for you."

Before leaving the hospital, I called Faye's mom to ask her to take care of Faye for the time being. Since Faye fell into a coma, my daily routine had become a monotonous cycle: office, hospital, work, repeat.

Months passed again with no sign of Faye waking up. My worries grew each passing day until one morning, a call came that shattered my world.

"We're losing her."

Right then, it felt like my world crumbled before me.

No! No! No!

This can't be happening. I can't lose her!

Or have I already?
