As soon as the timer appeared Rengoku requested Hikaru to make some wooden swords appear so that they could see if they could use them to train. It seems that they were able to but if they tried to attack too much or aimed to actually hurt they would disappear. With that the Hashira all asked for a sword (or specialized wooden weapon in Uzui and Himejima's case. Kanroji was using a ribbon instead of a wooden weapon). All except for Giyuu of course and Shinobu who was talking to Tamayo and Yushiro again. The other demon slayers all asked for weapons as well so that they could train and so they paired up and started to spar against each other. Surprisingly Rengoku had requested a spar with Akaza who just grinned and accepted. It seemed that he wasn't holding back as much as he had been when fighting Hikaru but when he seemed to throw out an attack that would damage Rengoku it seemed that something happened to completely stop the attack so that Rengoku didn't actually get hurt. The best part about this is that none of them sparring hurt Hikaru which they were all happy about.
"Aren't you going to train as well?" Hikaru asked as he looked at Giyuu who shook his head.
"No, I wanted to talk to you," Giyuu said. He had said that he would speak to Hikaru in the next break and he was going to keep his word. "Do you want to talk about what has been shown?"
"Would it make me feel any better if I talked about it?" Hikaru questioned.
"No" Giyuu's blunt and honest answer came instantly. He knew from his own experiences that no matter how much you talked about something it wouldn't change your feelings towards it, no matter how much you tried to lie to yourself that you were fine, it wouldn't work and no matter how many people tried to 'help' you, all it done was make it worse. Hikaru smiled a little and let out a sigh and he was glad that it was Giyuu that had decided to come and talk to him about this.
"I don't think that I would be able to change the way that I think no matter what everyone says. In a way we have control over our feelings and thoughts but in the same way, we really don't. We can feel and think things without even realizing that we are having them," Hikaru admitted.
"I know," Giyuu agreed. "We don't have to talk about anything if you don't want to. I'll just tell them that we have spoken."
"Thank you, I don't really want to talk right now," Hikaru admitted. He was pretty sure if he started to talk he wouldn't be able to stop. And if he wasn't able to speak then he was sure that his tears would start and they wouldn't stop.
"Okay, if you want to talk in the future then I will listen" Giyuu told him.
"I'll offer the same thing, if you want to talk, I will listen and if it's not me then I'm sure Tanjiro or anyone else will listen," Hikaru offered.
"Thank you," Giyuu replied. He was pretty sure that most of the Hashira's would fight a demon for a full week with no breaks than listen to her but he wasn't about to say this to Hikaru.
"You should also know that Oyakata-sama will more than likely make you have a health check every second week," Giyuu warned.
"A health check?"
"Amane-sama does a health check up and offers to talk to you at the check ups..... My own health check ups are now back to monthly check ups," Giyuu didn't smile but he did have a shine in his eyes that showed he was proud of himself. Hikaru realized that this health check up was more of a mental check up and Giyuu probably had a lot of the same thoughts and itches that Hikaru himself had.
"That's fine, now, would you train with me?" Hikaru asked as he got to his feet, he really needed to get his thoughts away from this for now. Giyuu tilted his head, not understanding why he would want to train with him.
