Chapter 24: Enmu will be hunted!

Kanroji's looks towards Hikaru made him have to hide his smile as Obanai was already glaring death towards him.

"Has everyone thought of their favorite foods so that I can get them for you?" Hikaru questioned. Kanroji's beaming smile made Obanai blush and have to duck his head at how cute he found her.

"Yes" Were the numerous replies that he got. With that, the first thing that he did was summon a large table. It was big enough that they wouldn't have to shout to be heard but it also had enough room that they wouldn't be sitting on top of each other either. Hikaru was a little worried about what the demons would do while they ate but it seems that they had already decided what to do. Tamayo (and therefore Yushiro), offered to watch over Nezuko who was still napping and would more than likely want to run around and play when she woke up. Akaza on the other hand scoffed and walked away and seemed to be doing some training. It wasn't enough training that would give away his fighting style (not that he cared if they knew or not) but it was enough that he felt better that he was at least doing something. With the demons settling into their things, Hikaru invited everyone to sit down and got them to state their favorite food so that he could get them their food.

Tanjiro had Boiled Fatsia Sprouts which was boiled wild vegetables, normal he would have tempura with it but he only wanted a small meal since he was planning to train afterwards.

Zenitsu had Unaju which was eel roasted with sauce and put on a bed of rice, it was normally pretty expensive so he could only have it every now and then so he was happy to have an extra large portion.

Inosuke had tempura, Hikaru made sure that he had a mix of vegetables and seafood so that he would eat both. He wouldn't be able to tell which was which until he had eaten them.

Genya tried to stay silent, trying to insist that he wasn't hungry but Hikaru was patient and continued to look at him, waiting for him to reply. Everyone else was waiting as well until finally Sanmei couldn't take it anymore.

"His favorite food is Watermelon with salt." Hikaru smiled and then got a plate of watermelon for Genya, who was looking at it with sparkling eyes. He hadn't even realized that his brother still remembered his favorite food!

Once again Hikaru had to play a game of patience with Kanao because her coin had come up with a negative answer, meaning she wouldn't speak.

"She and I will have the same thing. Normally her favorite food is ramune and any food that Aoi makes" Shinobu explained. He couldn't exactly give her Aoi's food but he could at least give her some ramune.

Since Kanao and Shinobu were both having the same thing, Hikaru done their meals at the same time. They had ginger tsukudani which was small seafood, meat, vegetables or seaweed simmered in soy sauce and sweet rice wine. Shinobu had seafood and seaweed while Kanao had vegetables and meat.

Obanai huffed but wouldn't disappoint Kanroji so he quickly said his favorite food, even if he wouldn't eat it. His favorite food was tororo konbu which was seaweed cut into small threads before putting them in vinegar.

"I also made an area over there if you actually want to eat," Hikaru pointed to four screens that were off to the side. Obanai would be able to move one of the screens slightly before moving in the middle of the four so he could take his bandages off without anyone seeing. He was surprised at Hikaru's thoughtfulness and had to grudgingly give a nod of thanks.

Next was Sanemi and Hikaru didn't even bother with waiting for whatever food Sanemi was going to say and instead gave him a plate of ohagi. When Sanemi glared and looked like he was winding up for a yell of anger, Hikaru simply raised an eyebrow and dared him to try and reject the food. With a huff he took the glutinous rice covered in red bean paste before sitting back down.
