Chapter 22: Such a beautiful dance

Quickly jumping to his feet Hikaru jumped out of the way just as Uzui and Kanroji pounced towards him. He had moved just in time to dodge them and didn't even pause as he started to run away with the sound and Love Hashiras.

"Don't try and run away from this!" Uzui yelled.

"Yeah, yeah! We aren't going to stop until you tell us what you are planning!" Kanroji announced. Hikaru just cackled as he ran away.

"Should we stop them?" Himejima wondered, a smile on his face.

"I think that it is fine to leave them after all it looks like they are having fun" Ubuyashiki smiled. Nezuko who realized that Hikaru, Kanroji and Uzui were running around quickly got up and rushed to join them. This left Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke to join as well while the others either stopped paying attention and conversing together or they watched them playing around. After dodging Uzui once more Hikaru hissed silently and had to quickly take another step to stabilize himself.

"You okay Hikaru?" Kanroji asked, she was actually closer than Uzui was and had heard the hiss of pain.

"Yeah it's fine" Hikaru was quick to reply.

"Don't be an idiot, don't forget that your side is still hurt!" Yushiro barked out. That made them all pause in their chasing game and look at Hikaru. They had been watching the future so they had forgotten that Hikaru's body wasn't in the best condition still. In fact it was only luck that Zenitsu, Inosuke and Tanjiro were all healed up.

"It isn't still hurt, it is healed but it's just that the skin still pulls sometimes and it will continue to pull for the rest of my life" Hikaru pointed out.

"It may be healed but the skin is still new so there is a chance that you can still rip it open and make it even worse" Yushiro argued, his eyes were fierce and Hikaru didn't think that he was going to back down from this argument.

"Sorry Hikaru, I didn't think that you would be in pain" Kanroji apologized.

"I'm not in pain, it just pulled a little and the pain is gone now" Hikaru tried but he knew it was no use. The fun that they had been having had come to an end and it was all because of him. They had all been able to forget about the future and what was going to happen for a few precious minutes but now it was gone and it was because of Hikaru.

"You know, I'm not the only one that knows about my plans in the future, Tanjiro also knows about it."

With that, everyone's attention turned to Tanjiro who gulped. Within minutes the running had started again, this time Rengoku, Shinobu and with some encouragement from Ubuyashiki, Muichirou. The Hashira's were all obviously holding themselves back since they could easily have caught Hikaru and now Tanjiro but they were letting him dodge away at the last second. Then with a few bumps into each other, the game of chase turned into a big game of tag.

"You could join them as well if you want" Hikaru offered as he sat next to Genya and Kanao. Zenitsu was currently wailing as he ran away from Uzui who was determined to use this game of tag to train the blonde boy. Kanao flipped her coin before just simply going back to watching, it seems that she had got a negative answer from her coin.

"Tch, as if I would join in on something like that" Genya scoffed.

"Then how about we have our own fun?" Hikaru offered. Instantly, as if they were waiting for this moment, Yushiro and Tamayo glanced towards them. "Don't worry, I won't be moving from the spot that I have sat down on."

"What fun?" Genya demanded. He wasn't sure why Hikaru kept talking to him but it seemed that Hikaru wasn't going to give up even if he ignored him.

"An arm wrestling competition, you have gotten stronger since the last time that we met and I want to test my own strength against yours," He explained. More than one person perked up as they heard what Hikaru said.
