No one was sure what they should say to calm Uzui down, after all they knew if they were in the same situation they wouldn't be able to calm themselves down.

"Right, let's have that spar boar boy," Uzui said as he got to his feet.

"Not yet," Hikaru interrupted and Uzui turned to him, a scowl on his face. "You don't fight or spar with other humans if you are angry, so you need to calm down first."

Uzui wanted to argue but he knew that what Hikaru was saying was correct. "Right, you're right. I'm going to go on a walk but when I get back, I'm going to spar against you so be ready."

With that Uzui turned and left everyone relaxed a little.

"Will he be okay?" Kanroji worried.

"He will be, he just needs some time," Obanai was quick to comfort her.

"I think that it is best to simply give Tengan some space and wait for him to calm down," Ubuyashiki added. He wanted to be able to offer comfort to the Sound Hashira but knew that if he was in the situation and Amane was in trouble like this, he wouldn't want someone's comfort.

"He knows deep down that this is the future and he can change it, but just because we know that doesn't make it any easier," Hikaru sighed. Tanjiro nodded his agreement after all they had already seen things (like Rengoku's near death) and even though they knew they could change it, that didn't change the emotions that they felt at the time.

"How about he stretch and keep training for now, that way Inosuke will be ready for his spar when Uzui gets back and we can have spars of our own," Tanjiro suggested. Insouke was already up and dashing around in happiness at being able to have the chance to fight against Uzui so he didn't need any encouragement but Zenitsu nearly burst into tears when Himejime simply gave him a look when he tried to insist on sitting out on the training. What they didn't see was two of the Hashira slipping away and following after Uzui.

Uzui was near the river and was pacing back and forth as he was deep in thought of what exactly he had just seen and trying to calm himself down. It was working partly but at the same time it wasn't working at all.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Rengoku questioned as he and Giyuu approached the other Hashira.

"Not really," Uzui admitted. He didn't really want to talk about what was happening because that would mean that it was real and was actually going to happen in the future if they didn't change anything.

"Then shove it deep into a box and shove that box deep down," Giyuu said and they both turned to look at him in shock.

"Do I want to know why that is your advice?" Rengoku questioned, a feeling of dread building in his stomach as he thought of Giyuu and the way he presented himself to those around him. As someone cold and aloof.

"Sometimes it's the best thing to do because then it won't hurt anymore. This hasn't happened yet so you can find out what is happening and then change it," Giyuu replied. Another piece clicked in Uzui's mind and he felt a swell of deep sadness.

"Tomioka.... No Giyuu, how long have you kept your feelings bottled up like that? Simply gathered together, shoved in a box and buried deep?" Uzui asked, his worry about his wives taking second place. It wasn't that he wasn't still worried, it was simply because what was happening with his wives was in the future and could be changed while Giyuu was standing right in front of him. In fact, focusing on Giyuu was actually helping him calm down.

"What do you mean?" Giyuu replied with his own question. He couldn't help but wonder if he had managed to say the wrong thing again. Would the small amount that Uzui had been talking to him stop now? Would he be angry with him like Sanemi and Obanai always were?
